It was a regular meeting of the chapter. There were 42 members present and the program was in charge of Jimmy McDonald, the treasurer. He had the main topic as “thrift.” He invited Mr. John Spears of the lo cal bank to tell about thrift and savings. It was a very interesting talk and the members appreciated Mr. Spears leaving his job to come to the Chapter Meeting to talk to them. Jimmy also did two tricks for entertainment. Chapter members have already gotten Christmas cards to sell for the Annual Father and Son Ban quet which probably will be some time in November. For every two boxes of cards sold the person will get a plate to the banquet free. A magazine drive has been start ed, whereby every member of the chapter has a chance to get a prize. Some of the boys already i have sold as much as S3O or S4O. ‘ If all the members sell S2OO of j magazines the boy selling the most j will get a shotgun as a prize plus! the prize he already has won. If the chapter sells SSOO we will get SIOO to be used on the banquet. It was voted to have refresh ments for the meetings from now MOUNTAIN RIDGE S STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY Jg|L SQ6S . SO3O O 4/5 or.
