Judy on her 12 birthday. Wieners and marshmallows were rousted on the park g ill and to go with them there was plenty of slaw, onions rolls and soft drinks. Following the roast the group re turned to the park center Where thev enjoyed games a’-d dancing and J”dv opened her gifts. Music Club Is Formed In Erwin High School and eighth grade pi ano students of Miss Blanche Bru ton met in the grammar school auditorium Thursday evening at 7:30 for the purpose of forming a music club. Joint Hostesses Honor Miss Pope With Coffee Hour Miss Billye Pope, whose marriage to Billy Creel will take place on November 29 was feted at a lovely • coffee hour on Saturday e.fte noon from four lifitil fivl o'clock at the home of Mrs. James Snipes. Mrs. Bill Boles and Mrs. John Snipes were joint hostesses for the affair. The Snipes home was most at ! tractive with red roses predomin ating in the living room, and in the den. a lovely arrangement of , bronze and yellow mums enhanced the beauty of the home. Mrs. J. W. Thornton poured cof fee from the dining room table which was covered with a cut work cloth and centered with a silver ; bowl containing yellow and white ! chrysanthemums intermingled with greenery. Burning yellow tapers in silver candelabra completed the ap pointment. i Delectable refreshments consisted iof chicken salad rosettes, cheese biscuits, heart wafers and fudge squares.
