Unusual Observance
Os School Week Set
Lillington school, marking the national observance of
American Education Week, will taring the school to the

Benson’s Guard
Slates Dance
Plans for a supper dance on
Thursday November 20, were dis
! cussed at Monday’s drill of the 1
Benson unit of the National Guard.
! Members and their wives will be
! invited along with special guests.
] The meal will be provided by the
j mess personnel of the unit and the
members will also provide the en
tertainment program. The unit will
display some of its equipment for
the occasion.
! More equipment has been arriv
ing for the Benson unit. On Tues
day a multiple mount machine gun
and turret arrived and on Friday
two new trucks. New clothing and
equipment has been arriving also. 1
Invitations are being sent out to;
members of the community who I
i helped to get the unit started back
1 in April.

strate instruction in games, and
conduct relays. Assistant county
superintendent Beaman Kelley will
call square dance figures.

courthouse square will perform for j
passers-by under the direction of
the public school music teacher. I,
Students of home economics will !
be in the dress shops to model !
clothes furnished by the shops and j
to present displays of what’s best I
