ABC STORES Uniform Traffic Scurfs Proposed RALEIGH ilf) - A proposal for a uniform system of state traffic courts today awaited members of the General Assembly that will convene here in January. L. R. Fisher, state motor vehic les commissioner, said the present system of handling cases in fre quently unjust and cuts into the efficiency of the highway patrol. Fisher said there is a need for uniformity. He said a motorist cited in Iredell County face court : costs totaling $39, while he would face court costs running to only $9 m nearby Mecklenburg. Fisher urged the legislators to ; provide a system of traffic courts with at least one in every county. ; He said the judges should be ap pointed by the governor and re- i ceive a straight salary instead of fees.
