Scout regulations require that a den mother have a son of eight to ll years of age enrolled in Cub Scouting. Mrs. Bradsher’s son. Richard, and Mrs. O’Quinn’s son, Byron, are both Cub Scouts. The paak meeting attracted a l round 50 parents and-Scouts. They , viewed a film on Cub Bcouting with Mrs. Howard Watkins serving as narrator. Cub Scout Master An drew Jackson presided and dis tributed to the Cub Scouts small replicas of the Liberty Bell in ap preciation of the role Cubs played In getting out the vote in the Nov ember national elections. House to house distribution of paper Liberty bells reminding citizens to vote on Election Day was promoted nationally by the non-partisan Crusade for Freedom Foundation. In Lilllngton Cub Scouts hung the paper bell on door knobs on election eve. Jackson announced that 12 Cub Scouts, were re-registered and eight new Cubs were also enlisted bringing the total Cub Scout reg istration to 20. Each den mother will have ten boys. At the close of the program frozen custard was served to the entire group as a courtesy from Eddie Davis, owner of Eddie’s Place whose son, Joe, was one of the new Cub Scouts joining on Wednesday night.
