Boat Tues day evening at 8 o'clock. Mrs. E. L. Sewell was co-hostess. Mrs. Bob Young presided over the meeting and welcomed Mrs. Robert Barrett as a new member. During the business session of ficers for the coming year were elected. They are: president, Mrs: Byron Stevens; Vice-President, Mrs. Henry C. Lee, Secretary, Mrs. Viv ian Merrell, Treasurer, Mrs. Frea Thomas. The group also dicussed the Diocesan Convention which will be held in Greensboro in Ap ril and plans were made to com plete the furnishings for the Rec tor’s office. R. Royal was hostess to members of the Margaret Haaseh Circle of the First Baptist Church at her home Tuesday evening at 7:30 o'clock. A bowl of beautiful red gladioli made, the living room very pretty for tile occasion. Mrs. Carl Lucas presided over the meeting and Mrs. Roy Cameron gave the scripture reading’from the Woman at the Well. Du ing the business session Mrs Thurman Gaster resigned as pro gram chairman. The program for the evening wgs based on the week of prayer, which the Baptists are new observing. Those taking part were: Mrs. Hart well Byrd, Mrs. End Stewart Sr., and Mrs. Archie Woodworth. Harriett Lee with a party on her fifth birthday Monday af ternoon at 3 o’clock. The house was decorated in the Easter motif. During the afternoon the group I played games and Harriett Lee opened her gifts. They were then invited into the j dining room.
