C. Tally-Ho Club Met Last Night At Tart Home Arrangements of mixed summer flowers were used effectively in the Ed Tart home last night, when Mrs. Tart entertained the Tally-Ho Club at dessert unage. Guests enjoyed strawberry short cake prior to the game and later In the evening, cokes and candy were served. . Top club score was compiled by Mrs. Locke Muse, who received dusting powder. Mr§. Scouts Have Formal Party In Erwin Members of Girl Scout Troop 21 and their dates enjoyed a formal party at the Park Center Tuesday evening from 7:30 until 10:30 o’clock. The club room was beautifully decorated with- crepe paper stream ers In pastel shades. Silver stars were attached to the streamers and full moon was used over the piano. Fami lies attending in Meadow School district are asked to bring a pic nic basket. Immediately after the supper there will be a short business meet ing fen- the purpose of the installa tion of the officers of the Meadow P. T. A. for the school year 1935- 54. The lunchroom win not be dedica ted at this time as it is not yet completed. Library Wins Award Trophy The Dunn High School Library, headed by Velma Blackburn, has been awarded the International Award Trophy at the annual State Convention of library Clubs. It la a travelling award and Is presented each year by Mrs. Eta ily Loften of Durham to, the high school library group which does the best job in the state on in ternational relations. .Last year the award went to the. Durham High School Library. The award was won by the Dunn Library for its work in sending “CARE’’ packages to India last year.
