Lillington Social Happenings Walls Are Feted At Bridge On Thursday night of last week Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Johnson hon ored Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wall, who are leaving Lillington soon to make their home in Siler City, with a farewell bridge party. Mrs. Johnson used mixed sum mer flowers which were attractiv ely arranged throughout living and dining rooms where the guests en joyed bridge. The host and hostess presented the honoreeg with individual wood en salad bjwls. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bordeaux and Lamar Simmons were the recipients of high score prize; and the traveling prize was given to Meredith Senter. Stewart of Buie's Creek gave a miscellaneous shower Fri day night at their home compli mentary to their niece, Miss Lynn lewis, Lillington bride-elect. The fifteen who attended were all close fam ily friends or relatives of the bride-elect. Red gladioli centered the re freshment table, and lime ice, bridal cakes, mints and salted nuts were served. Mrs. Sidney Howell and her daughter, Miss Barbara Ann Ho well, spent Tuesday in Durham with Mr. and Mrs. John R. Ashe and children. Mrs. Ashe is the former Margaret Howell. Major Marie E. Bradsher retur ned Wednesday to her duties at Camp Pickett, Va. after a two week’s visit with her mother, Mrs. Minnie Bradsher, and her sister. Miss Mildred Bradsher.
