Mrs. Alvis Ennis, president, call ed the meeting to order and Mrs. Clyde Denning led the group in prayer. Following a business session Mrs. Roy Langdon zave an inspiring de votional exercise on “Jesus The Divine Sacrifice for Sin.” Mrs. Maynard Coats, program director presented a proeram on the tonic “Mv Church as Part of the Whole.” Assistinz Mrs. Coats in presenting the program we-e Mrs. Mack R. CHURCH BAZAAR An autumn bazaar, sponsored by the Benson Methodist Church, will be held on Saturday, December 5, In the Medlin & Dorman store. Opening Saturday morning at: 11:00 o’clock the sponsors of the 1 bazaar invite the public to visit them and look over the many items for sale throughout the day. The usual bazaar items will be on display. There will be jams, jell ies, pickles, candies and home made cakes for sale as well as sandwich es and coffee. . > Members of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service of which Mrs: Ivey T. PROGRAM GIVEN AT PTA Miss Wilhelmina Utley presented a program of novelty songs, musi cal readings, and instrumental num bers by a group of her younger music students at the November meeting of the local PTA on Mon day evening at the high school aud itorium. Participating in the program were Joyce Lowery, Lynn Farmer, Judy Lynn Johnson, Diane Overby, Sue Lawhon, Glenda Massengill, Leh man Barefoot, Georgia Parker, Bill Woodall, Mike Bain, Larry Her rinz, Phil Lassiter and Donald Holloway. WITH PARENTS Pvt. Clyde Norrran Proctor, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Proctor of Benson spent the weekend here with his parents. He was recently graduated from the engineering school at Fort Leonard Wood. Mis souri, and was trained to build reads and air fields. After a ten dav leave at home was te-minated. following the train ing period at Fort Leonard Wood, Pet. Proctor reported to Fort Jack ' son. S. C.. and from there was sent to Fort Bravg.
