Psalms. She gave an inspiring read
ing entitled “Learning God’s Way.”

sus.” accompanied by Miss Lynch at
the piano.

Birthday Saturday
Jerry Wood celebrated his twelfth
birthday Saturday afternoon wtih
a party at hie home.
During the afternoon, the chil
dren played games on the lawn
and were served ice cream, cake
peanuts, cookies, and lemonade.
Jerry opened his many nice gifts
as his guests looked on.

The Hodges Chapel Women’s
Auxiliary met Monday night. July
at the church for their regular

The president, Mrs. Roy Johnson,'
called the meeting to order and
the group sang two hymns, "Praise
Him, Praise Him” and "Tell Me
The Story of Jesus.”
Mrs. Jack McLamb presented the
Bible reading from the 28th Chap
ter of Matthew and Mrs. J. W.
Sorrel] led in prayer.
The program was in charge of
Mrs. Jack McLamb and Mrs. W. T.
"The Glory of Missions.” Brenda
and Ruth Sorrell closed the pro
ram with a medley of songs.
The business session was held
and the closing hymn followed by
prayer by Mrs. C. F. Miller.
August 2 is the date for the
next meeting at the church.
