S. Smith of Dunn. I The Reverend R. R. Gammon ' performed the double ring cere- I mony before a background of i white gladioli and chrysanthe ' mums and white tapers in floor | candelabras. ; Mrs. Reta Whittenton, organ ist, and Mrs. Lloyd Coats, Jr , so loist, rendered the nuptial music. Mrs. Whittenton’s selections in cluded: “I'll Walk With God”, “O Promise Me”, “The Rosary”, “My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice,” “Deep In My Heart Dear” from the “Student Prince,” and “Ich Liebe; Dich” was played softly during the ceremony. Mrs. Coats sang,' “Through The Years”, and “The Lord’s Prayer” as a response to the benediction. The bride and groom entered the church together. The bride wore a j ballerina length gown of candle-1 light satin and nvlon tulle. The gown was fashioned with a fitted bodice and featured a draped shoulder line. The neckline was edged in nylon tulle and she wore elbow length gloves of white satin. I RETURNS HOME Mrs. Gordan Reddish returned J home Friday from the Memorial I Hospital in Chapel Hill where she was a patient last week. She is reported to be improving. FROM DUKE Margaret Cathey, student at Duke University, is visiting here for a few days with relatives and friends. VISITS HERE Billy Barefoot, student at Atlan tic Christian College in Wilson, visited relatives and friends here over the week end. VISIT POPE’S Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pearce of Selma visited with Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Later the couple left for a wedding trip to unannounced. I points. Campbell College High School. He served four years with the U. S. J I Navv. At nvesent he is a freshman ; at Campbell College. ! The bride is a graduate of Dunn ; { High School, and is at present a sonhomore at Campbell Co'lege. Upon their return thev will make ; their home in Dunn, urt'l Septem ber. when thev both will resume , their studies at the University of i North Carolina. RETURN TO GREENVILLE ! Mrs. Richard Monds and chil dren have returned home to Green ville after spending last week here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leek Coats and Mr. nud Mrs. Leon ard Monds. Mr. Monds. who is a student at E. C. C., arrived here Fridav to spend the week end. and they returned to Greenville, Sun day.
