IONDAY AFTERNOON, FEBRUARY 21, 1955 Mrs. Lucy Duncan Spoke To Members Os Arts Club Friday Afternoon AtOne Mrs. Lucy Duncan of Smithfield, immediate past president of the North Carolina Federation of Busi ness and Professional Womens Clubs, presented an interesting talk Friday to members of the Olde Towne Arts Club. Mrs. Clarence Roberts and Mrs. Qtrtis Ennis were hostesses when le club met at one o’clock at the Roberts home. A beautiful ar rangement of red carnations dec orated the room where the guests assembled. , The hostesses served a delicious tray luncheon consisting of baked ham, potato chips, asparagas with pimento, frozen fruit salad, hot rolls, coffee and cherry tarts top ped with whipped cream. Following the meal, Mrs. Hoover Adams, club president, welcomed the guests and presided over a short business meeting. Housewarming Was Given In Dunn For Faircloths -Mrs. James Faireloth and Mrs. Roy Mason entertained at a house warming Saturday night honoring Mr. and Mrs. Fulton Faireloth. The party was held at the attractive new home of the Faircloths in Dunn. Spring flowers decorated the rooms throughout the home. Games were played and a lovely array of gifts was presented to the honored couple. Refreshments were served con sisting of cheese sandwiches,, pot ato. chips, cup cakes, and iced drinks. Serving were Judy, Linda, and Diane Faireloth, and Linda Mason. Approximately 50 guests attend ing the housewarming. Tarts Entertain For Card Club Mr. and Mrs. Casper Tart enter tained for members of their couples canasta club Saturday night at their lovely home on the Dunn- Erwin Road. Red carnations and gladioli made the home more colorful for the evening party. Nuts and homemade fudge were on the tables during the games and, between progressions, the hostess served delicious nut sundaes and Cokes. Mrs. Loromun Dupree was the winner of the high score award for the ladies and received costume pins. Vernon Bass was high scorer f9r the men and Paul White was the winner in a game of bingo. Beautiful arrangements of red and white carnations and an all I' white arrangement of mixed flow ers were used throughout the house. Mrs. Carl Fitchett, Jr. won club high for the evening, which was a glass pom pon dish, while Mrs. Hal Jernigan won a pair of ear rings as consolation prize and Mrs. Vaughn Hutaff won bingo, which was a carton of Coca Colas. The hostess served delicious re freshments consisting of chicken salad sandwiches, potato chips, deviled eggs, cheese biscuits, sand tarts, pickles and Coca-Colas. Mrs. Leon McKay was guest for the evening. Others present were: Mrs. Fitchett, Mrs. Hutaff, Mrs. Bobby Strickland.
