Hazle, a left-handed hitting out fielder brought up from Wichita on July 27, has been Milwaukee's most devastating hitter the past two weeks and now sports a .526 average with 30 hits in 57 times I at bat. Brown will enter a junior college at Wingate, N. C., next month to I continue her interrupted educa tion. At a meeting here Thursday, her advisors announced that the I Mooresville, N. C„ girl will enter j Wingate Junior College where she j will take a special two-year course j which should gain’ her a high \ school diploma. Dr. Budd E. Smith, president of Wingate, said he feels that “with her maturity and intelligence" Dorothy can qualify for a high school diploma in that time. The college’s high school divi sion has classes small enough to offer each student individual at tention, and Dorothy will have special tutors in English and ma thematics. Stories written about Dorothy by a weekly newspaper editor who found her beside a backwoods well gained national attention for the beautiful and graceful girl who had little chance because of her poor family. Dorothy, billed as a “nature girl,” appeared on a national tele vision show and received dozens of offers to cash in on the publi city.
