A FRANCHISE 949 DUNN, N. C. Editoral (Contlnurd On Page Seven) school as “the unhappy time” and points out that And over Newton suffered some of the same difficulties and |an unfortunate situation similar to that which now exists at Wak^ Forest. Dr. Tribble, if he is willing to face the facts, can take but little encouragement from the vote given him by the convention. Such a vote ordinarily is almost unanimous. Already, there is talk of divorcing Wake Forest from the Baptist Convention, and the alumni are yet to be heard from. Figures show that already a vast majority of alumni are withholding financial support from the college as a protest to the Tribble administration. The question now remains: How long can any such educational institution endure without the support of its alumni? Even if Dr. Tribble wej-e doing a near perfect job and even if we were among his staunchest supporters, we would still rcommend that he vacate the office imme diately in view of so much dissension. If Dr. Tribble really loves Wake Forest and if he has the best interests of the institution at heart, we believe he will recognize his clear duty to resign. Wake Forest can truly become one of the great in stitutions of higher learning in the nation. Such dis sension should not be allowed to hinder its forward march. 1:25 Walter Cronkite 1:30 As The World Turns 2:00 Beat The Clock 2:30 Linkletter’s Houseparty 3:00 Big Payoff 3:30 The Verdict Is Yours 4:00 Brighter Days 4:15 Secret Storm 4:30 Edge Of Night 5:00 Our Miss Brooks 5:30 Annie Oakley 6:00 Cisco Kid 6:30 Your Esso Reporter 6:40 Weatherman 6:45 Jewel Box Jamboree 7:00 Sports Focus 7:15 Doug Edwards 7:30 Tombstone Territory 6:00 The Silent Service 8:30 Zane Gray Theatre 0:00 Mr, Adam & Eve 9:30 Playhouse Stars 10:00 The Lineup 10:30 Person To Person 11:00 Weatnerman 11:05 News Final 11:10 Sports Nltacap 11:16 Bright Leaf Theatre WRAL — RALEIGH CHANNEL 5 FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29 7:00 Today 9:00 Cinema Toast and Coffee 10:00 Arlene Francis I 10.30 Treasure Hunt 11:00 The Price Is Right 11:30 Truth or Consequences 12 00 Tic Tac Dough 12 30 It Could Be You 1:00 Today On Farm 1:30 The Howard Miller Show 2:30 Bride & Groom 3.00 Matinee Theatre 4:00 Queen For A Day 4:45 Modern Romances 5:00 Popeye The Sailor 6:15 Stateline News 6:25 Frank Leaky Show 6:40 Weather 6:45 NBC News 7:00 O’Henry Playhouse 7:30 Saber of London 8:00 Court of Last Resort 8:30 Life Of Riley 9:00 M Squad 9:30 Thin' Man 10:00 Pro Boxing 10:45 Barber’s Corner 11:00 Weather 11:05 News 11:15 Sports 11:30 Tonight 12:00 Million Dollar Movie Washington's “route of presi dents" and visiting celebrities stretches along Pennsylvania Ave nue for a mile and a half between ■■■" 1 i BY POPULAR DEMAND WE ARE EXTENDING OUR NOVEMBER SALE THROUGH CHRISTMAS 21 - INCH NATHANE TV • Power Transformer • AH Wood Cabinet • Top Front Tuning • Automatic Focus Con trol. only $199.95 VHF EXTRA Shop Early While Our Stock Is Com plete And Insure De livery Before Christ mas JOHNSON W.
