The Rev Forest Maxwell of ficiated Music was presented by Miss Syble Beasley of Coats, or ganist, and Miss Ann Beasley of Coats, soloist. The bride was given in mar riage by her father She wore a gown of satin and alencon lace, styled with an alencon lace yoke, embroidered in pearls which for med the portrait neckline. Alen C' n luce motifs embroidered in pearls adorned the front of the bouffant skirt and three satin ro ses formed the back of the wide skirt which flowed into a chapel train Her fingertip veil of French silk illusion was attached to a half hat of satin with alencon lace appliques She carried a play er book with a white orchid and valley lilies. Christmas Party Given For Sunday School Class Mrs Melvin Weeks, teacher, and Mrs. Raymond Barefoot, assistant teacher, entertained the members of their Sunday School class of lee’s Grove Church Saturday af ternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Barefoot. Approximately 20 attended the Christmas party and the hostesses j served ribbon salad, nuts pimen to cheese sandwiches and punch. I Games were played and they | exchanged Rifts. The teacher gave ■ all the children a gift also. The home was beautifully de corated with a Christmas tree, ber- . ries and greenery. Ladies Auxiliary Held Party At Weeks Home Mrs. Melvin Weeks was host ess Saturday night at 7:30 at her home when members of the ladies auxiliary and their guests of Lee’s Grove Church met for their an nual Christmas narty. The supper which consisted of baked ham, potato salad, garden peas, tossed salad, hot. biscuits, coffee, tea and fruit cake was served buffet style in the dining room. Before the supper was served Rev. C. W Kirby returned thanks. Altering having eaten, the "u ests were invited into the living room where games, directed by Mrs Raymond Barefoot and Mrs. Olin McLeod, were played. The Weeks home was decorated with a Christmas tree and other | Christmas decorations. Those attending and exchanging gifts were Rev. and Mrs. C W. The bridegroom wits graduated from Wake Forest College, where he is now attending law school Boone Trail Grad Weds At Broadway The wedding of Miss Margaret Ann Kosser. daughter of Mr. and Mrs Leonard I. Rosser of Broad way and Donald Watts Harring ton, son of Mrs. Ned McLeod of Broadway and the late Cleveland Harrington, was solemnized in a lovely candlelight ceremony Fri day night at Broadway Baptist church. 'The Rev. Joe Bennett, pastor, officiated. The church was beautifully de corated with an arch in the back ground formed of alternate sev en branched candelabra and em erald palm trees. A center arrange ment was a wicker basket holding white chrysanthemums, pom poms, white gladioli and calla lilies. The chancel was decorated with mag nolia foliage. Music was presented by Mrs. Jean Mezarus, organist, Mrs. Laurel Cameron, and the Rev. Charles Bryant, soloists. Mrs. Ca meron sang, 'The Sweetest Story Ever Told,” and “O Promise Me,” and the Rev. Mr. Bryant render ed "The Lord's Prayer.” The bride, given in marriage by her faiher. wore a formal gown of Chantilly lace over bridal sat in. The basque bodice was desig ned with “V” neckline accented by iridescent sequins. Long sleev es tapered to points over the hands. Long gloves tapered to points over the hands. She carri ed a colonial style bouqjpet of white and red carnations. Bridesmaids were Miss Patsy Jo Cox Miss Patsy Thomas. Miss Linda Rosser and Miss Imogene Griffin. Junior bridesmaids was fionnie Sue Ros.ser, sister of the bride.
