Sally Arrington Pledges Vows With Rocky Mt. Man Mias Sally Arrington of Route 1, Lillington, became the bride of Johnny Suggs of Rocky Mount, in a ceremony solemniz ed August 3, at six o’clock in the evening in the Pleasant Plains Methodist Church. Rev. Harry Allen, pastor of the bride, heard the exchange of vows. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arrington and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Suggs, both of Route 1, Lillington. Wedding music was presented by Miss Betty Burkot, pianist, and Miss Vicki Oauldin and Miss Oinnie Page, soloists. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a ballerina length bridal gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta designed with a sweetheart neckline, three quarter length lace sleeves, fitt ed bodice, and a bouffant skirt. Her veil was attached to a tiara of seed pearls and she carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and white streamers. Miss Ann Arrington was her sister’s maid of honor and only attendant. She wore a ballerina length dress of light blue chif fon with a matching blue yell and accessories. She carried a long stemmed white carnation, Bobby Suggs served as his bro ther’s best man and ushers were Stanley Weaver of Buies Creek, cousin of the bride, and Mike Brown of Route X, killing ton. Mrs. Arrington chose for her daughter’s wedding a light green dress with beige accessories. The mother of the groom wore a light pink dress with white ac cessories. Both wore a corsage of white carnations. For the wedding trip the bride changed into a three-piece brown suit and wore the orchid lifted from the Bible.. The bride is a 1963 graduate of Buies Creek High School.
