Pumpkin has ad ditional uses of every day value. Although a pumpkin will keep well in dry storage for months, it is convenient to have It in meal - size portions ready ta heat and eat anytime you want It and that is easy to do. Take your favorite variety of pumpkins, cut it into strips; peel it; cut in small pieces, add sne cup of aargpm molasses to each gallon pumpkin. Put in a pot with little or no water, start it to cook slowly and stir It occasionally to that it will not hum. Cook it to the consistency that you like. Chill it: put it in any good frosen food container and freeze it. This is ne of several ways of preparing pumpkin to frptse. Tea may want to bake yours. Once the pumpkin is in the fMezer you have it at arm’s reach to heat and eat when you want it. Tou may, cheat yourself if you spice aU of if and use it just for pies. It is delicious With sausage, ham or crisp bacon for break fast. Just beat it in the frying pan after you have poured out the fat or part pf it It is beauti ful on the breakfast plate. It is equally as good served as a vegetable for lunch or dinger. Tou may prefer the small - deep colored sugar pumpkin. It is fine grained and often used for family fare. You may. waqt to add white sugar or brown sugar instead of this molasses. It was soon discovered to be Esten Betts and helping him to escape was the blond gypsy woman known as Janie Betts. By the way Janie kept the key to the ball and chain, which kept Esten sort of slowed down. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Herb Rea and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Bagwell of Smithfield and Jack Melvin of Wilmington. House decrattons were done in the traditional Halloween decor. A buffet was set up with a large assortment of hors d’oeuvres and punch. The evening was said to have been enjoyed by everyone.
