O. 11:18 (7) (11) Tonight Show 11:99 (8) Starlight Thaatra “Key Largo” (9) Marie: “Tall Man Riding” 9:00 (8) Big Evangelism Meeting Is Planned Here Die Evangelism Board and the Committee on Evangelism of the North Carolina Conference of the Pentecostal Molinas* Church, Inc met in the conference office at Falcon, to map out plans for the conference wide rally and simultan eous revivals to be conducted in one hundred and fifty eight church in the Spring of 1964. Chairman, W. Eddie Morris pres ided over the session. 6. J. Willimas, of Dunn is super visor of Evangelism. This Evange lism Committee includes nine mem bers, one from each of the districts throughout the conference. They are: Jacksonville District, Rev. R. N. Hood, Fayetteville Dis trict, Rev. J. Doner Dee, Whiteville District, Rev. W. J. Forehand, Vanceboro District Rev. J. B. Ed wards. Greenville District Rev. 8. L. Whichard, Goldsboro District Rev. Conrad N. Rail Wllliamston District, Rev. T. B. Henry Tar boro District, Rev. H. D. Marshbum, Ral eigh District, Rev. M. R. Whitefield. The plans call for-the conference to be divided into three areas. The simultaneous revivals will begin in the Southern area and embrace about one third of the churches per week for three weeks. On Monday night, March 30, 1964 the Conference Wide Rally will be held In Wilson First Pentecostal Holniess Church.. The arrangements committee. Rev. J. D. Lee and Rev. 6. J. Williams of Dunn, Rev. C. L. Turpin and Charman Morris of Falcon, is to formulate the program The (dan calls for an hour radio program in connection with this Rally. Rev. W. Eddie Morris, con ference superintendent was selected as Rally speaker. The Christian Education Board And Rev. C. L. Turpin, will be co sponsors of the Conference wide Rally. Barry Goldwater, R-Aris., has suggested that the government sell the Tennessee Valley Autho rity (TBA) to private Industry. Goldwater said in a letter last weekend to Rep. BichanJ Fulton, D-Tenn., that he was “quite ser ious" about the proposal that the government dispose of the net work on <tams and power generat ing stations. The GOP presidential conten der said that TVA paid osgjrHJ per cent of its annual gross to local government In lieu of taxes. It would have to pay five and out half times as much If It base a levy com para Me to other taxes paid by private business, Gold water said. Goldwater said he believed the TVA would be better operated and would be of more benefit for more people if it were part of pri vate industry. Billy Raps Bigness fw Of Govt. HOUSTON (UPI) — Evangelist Billy Graham, who says he has no political ambitions, Monday took a swipe at the bigness of government. Graham, on a three day speak ing tour before Houston religious and civic groups, said 'our people look to the government instead ol to God.” He said “it will destroy the nior al fiber of" ouf nation when our people look to the government lot everything t fill our needs.” Graham was emphatic when he said he has no political ambitions because “I am not qualified and besides, nobody would vote for Mrs. C. College Benefit Dinner Slated MOUNT OLIVE — The Free Will Baptist Churches of Sampson County have set Saturday, Decem ber 7, to hold ^a benefit dinner for the development fund of Mount Olive College. A goaf of $2,500 has been set for the dinner. The Reverend Walter Reynolds, pastor of Shady Grove Church, has been elected chairman of the county steering committee. Other members include Emerson Warren and Mrs. Felton Godwin of Newton Grove, and Mrs. Eugene Jemigan and Harvey Barefoot of Dunn. The Sampson County dinner is' one of a series being held through out eastern North Carolina to raise funds for the new 90-acre campus of Mount Olive College, Construc tion on dormitories, library, and, classroom building are scheduled to begin next spring Mount Olive is a fully accredited two-year liberal arts college spon sored by the Free Will Baptist State Convention.
