Vet. erans* Day is the day to remember Lexing ton, Gettysburgh, Santiago Bay, Chateau Thierry, Coral Sea, Okinawa, Palermo, Nor. mandy, Korea and now Viet Nem where others have died in peacetime. We need I only to look at the cemeteries of the world to realize the supreme sacrifice that was called for, that we may be secure. It called for the giving of life itself for many; for untoM sorrow heartache for friends awl loved ones. We remember, too, the thousands who today carry physical sews of those conflicts, many of whom lay paralyzed and hopeless invalids in the hospitals. They, too, gave everything but life itself. Each drop of Mood spilled from Bunker Hill to Iwo Jima is a deposit in the bank of freedom mfor our country. They have not died hi vain . . . those who paid with their lives the last full measure . . . We are proud to salute them, along with the living vet ems. NS tribute is too great for thosewho served us so well and I humbly exten d my poor thanks and appreciation to each of them. I rnm * -r i- CARL L LUCAS BY THE STAND $2.79 CROWN JELLIES 18 - oz.
