Tc Newtons Untied On Sun. Miss Linda Louise Bell and Michael Rufus Newton were mar ried Sunday afternoon in Mt. Ariel Methodist Church near Lillington. Parents of - the bride are Mr. end Mrs. Hubert Bell and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr .and Mrs. E. Elmore Newton both of Lillington. Vows were spoken before Rev. Ray L. Sparrow. Mrs. Paul John son, pianist and Mrs. Baxter Ma ron, soloist, presented a program of nuptial music. The bride was given in marri age by her father. She wore a floor length gown made of white satin and lace, which was design de soie with matching headpieces, aunt, Mrs. Steve Wall. The bodice was designed with a bateau neck line outlined in Iridescent sequins and seed pearls. The veil was at tached to a crown of lace, satin and seed pearls. Her cascade bou quet consisted of a white Bible r.nd orchid surrounded by roses and stephanotis. Miss Janet Bell sister of the bride was maid of honor and Mrs. Claybon Holder cousin of the bride was matron of honor. They wore mauve dresses made of peau de soie wit hmatehing headpieces. Jean Newton, H Erwin Doctor, Wife Given Farewell Honor Dr. Jose Castellanos and his family were given a farewell sup per in the Erwin Paj-k last Thurs day on the eve of his leaving Er win to move to Coats. Dr. Castel lanos will be associated with Dr. Donald Moore. The Jaycees and their wives were hosts. Hamburgers with all the trim mings, potato chips, home made cake and soft drinks were enjoy ed. Ushers were Jimmy Parker and Bobby Bell, cousins of the bride, Donald Nordon, Melvin Thomas and Wade Knight. The bride’s mother chose for her daughter’s wedding a blue lace dress with matching acces sories. The groom’s mother wore a green lace dress and matching accessories. Both mothers wore a white orchid corsage. The bride was graduated from Llllington High School and Mit chell's Hair Styling Academy of Raleigh. She is now employed at Campbell’s Hair Styling in San ford. The groom is a graduate of Boone Trail High' School and is now engaged in farming. When 1he couple returns from their wedding trip to the coast, they will reside at 105 Gordon St., Sanford. Djnner Is Held In Buie's Creek To carry out the theme which the Buie’s Creek Young Woman’s Auxiliary gills have had on Latin American for the past two months, a dinner was held in the back yard of Mrs. Bob King, leader of the group. Special guests were Dr. and Mrs, S. H. Cockburn and their family who were in Argentina as mission aries for thirteen years. Two Campbell College students from Venzualea were also guests, Jens Larsen and Roberto Gentilini. Newly Organized 4-H Club Meets The lew’.y organized Harnett County 4-H Club leaders met June lit at the agriculture building in Lililngton. The purpose of the meeting was to elect officers and t'iscuss others matters of busi ness. Those elected to the offices were: president, Mrs. Katherine Kinton; vice president, S. P. Stone; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Johnny Groce; reporter, Mrs. Tommy Thomas. Also decided up on were the various committees to carry out project of the club during the year.
