Gilbert Completes Basic PARfttS ISLAND, S. C. (FHTNC) — Marine Private Joseph C Gil bert, soil of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Gilbert of Angler, N. C., recently completed recruit training at the Marine Oorfls Recruit Depot, Par ris Island, S. C. The intensive training course in cludes drill, bayonet training, phy sical conditioning, parades and ceremonies and other military sub ject. Three weeks are spent on the rifle range where recruits fire the M-14 rifle and receive instruction in oth er basic Marine infantry weapon. He will now report to Camp Lejeune, N.
