WANT ADS I CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON In Your Battle To Cut Production Costs, There’s A JOHN DEERE PICKER To Fit Your Needs. To Hold Your Harvest Costs At Rock-Bottom, Year After Year, Choose A Quality - Built Picker From THE LONG GREEN LINE! ■ ONE - ROW 22 DURABILITY - The Big Reason JOHN DEERE PICKERS Cost You Less In The Long Run. John Deere Pickers are “built heavy’' to keep your harvest rolling year after year. Row units, for example. These are precision picking units, built like a massive, jeweled watch. All bearings are anti_friction ball, roller, or needle type. Many are sea’ed and lubricated for life. , , * t Bars which carry the spindles are made of heavy steel tubing to resist bending. They are mounted on forged studs on a large-diameter center pipe with heavy top and bottom plates. Spindle bushings are precision-fitted, and have ample length for good bearing surface. The spindles are non.bending but hard to break, with deep case-hardening and heavy chrome surface. Drums have gear drive, with slip-clutch protection on the mam drive. This positive drive and heavy construction make possible the use of rease lubrication, with all its advantages. John Deere Spindle Lube lasts for 20 hours of operation. It resists cold-weather thickening. . .. doesn't run out of picker bars.doesn’t sling off on cotton_ends the problem of “4 o’clock squeal1'.prevents “freezing” of spindles in bushings during off-season storage. gjohnAon gotten go.
