The “Finding of Moses’' memorial was constructed of finest
marble and the scene from the Bible depicts the finding of the
baby Moses in a basket with Pharaoh's daughter. It stands life
size in a ceramic tile pool and an artificial water overflow
adds to its beauty and impressiveness. *
MARBLE SCULPTURE BEGAN
WITH FIGURE OF CHRIST
The sculpture of marble Is a highly skilled, delicate task.
Because of the unknown properties of heat and volcanic action
far below the earth’s surface during marble formation, it’s
exact characteristics are something of a gamble. Anywhere
there might have been a soft or irregular spot which would have
had to be chiseled out and filled like a tooth. This would not be
too bad if It happened on an Ihconspicious part, but if it came
on a face, the entire work would be ruined. The marble used in
Devotional Gardens was hand-carved of best quality clear white
Ravaccione statuary marble. It is quarried from the mountains
high above Carrara. Italy. This marble is beautifully clear and
fine-grained, and these qualities have made it the favorite
medium of sculptors since classical times. It was from this dis
trict that blocks were quarried for the masterpieces of Canova,
Leonardo de Vinci and Michelangelo.
Another attractive -feature will be the Devotional Gar
dens Tower, a handsome and Impressive structure created from
split marble. The Chimes Tower will send fortly over loud
speakers into every area of the Gardens the most beautiful
music in keeping with the dignity of the surroundings
Of particular interest will be a gorgeous lajke with live
ducks and other teatures. This will be added at & later date
as construction progresses.
In its entirety, Devotional Gardens will be beautiful,
artistic, a perpetual, alstlng, enduring symbolic tribute to un
selfish love. It win combine the talents of expert artists,
sculptors, architects, horticulturists and engineers. A large part
of the area is set aside for spacious walks, shrubbery, floral
arrangements, artistic and architectural features.

MEMORIALS of enduring beauty and distinction
The “Good Shepherd" memorial, one of the most famous of all, was quarried in the
mountains of Italy of the finest and most beautiful clear Ravaccione marble. It was
hand-carved under the personal supervision of the reknown marble artist, Bernhard
Zuckerman. The Christus Sculpture stands majestically eight feet, 6 inches high HI
Devotional Gardens. It is a sight of real beauty and hs attracted many visitors and
tourists.
