was celebrated in National DAR
headquarters on an elaborate scale
as the Diamond Jubliee. Columbus
Day was hot ignored. The local ra
dio station has given publicity to
these two DAR activities.
The 7th District mte.ing of DAR
was, held in Kinston Sept. 29 and
‘representing this chapter were Mrs.
Johnson, Mrs. A. C. Parker, Mrs.
J. Lloyd Wade, Mrs. Ed Smith,
Mrs. Janus Best and Mr . j. F.
