teach for 25 years in Davidson
and at the old Myers Street
Klementary School. After
leaving Charlotte, she was a
supervisor at Winston-Salem
State and at Storer College in
Harpers Kerry, Va., and
taught at Dunbar School in
Kast Spencer N. Cr-She later
became supervisor of schools
in Itovvan ( ounty and was a
familiar figure as she drove
around Salisbury in her pink
and green Kuick.
Although seriously injured
in an automobile accident in

Willie Jean Smith of Musko
gee, Oklahoma since June of
1962. They have one child, a
son. Norman Kerry Jr. 10, a
4th grader at Midwood Ele
mentary School. They reside
at 1547 Waddell Street.

local chapter president. Mrs.
Williamson devoted untold
hours and years in aiding
Livingstone and other Black
colleges.
..Mrs. Williamson was the
wife of the late John F.
Williamson. The daughter of
the late Rev. Ben J. and Julia
Mills-lvey. she was born and
educated in Charlotte. Her
father was founder and the
pastor of the old Fast Stone
wall AMF Zion Church which
was located in the Brooklyn
section. She later joined Grace
AMF Zion Church where she
staved as president of the
senior choir, president of
Home Missions, taught Sun
day school and actively partic
ipated in other church activ
ities. In 1973, she returned to
Fast Stonewall, now located
on Griers Grove Itoad in West
Charlotte.
...Mrs. Williamson was a
graduate of l.ivingstone
College, Johnson C. Smith
University, and Columbia
University and was affiliated
with many educational organ
izations. She was also a mem
ber of the AKA Sorority, the
NAACP, Eastern Star and
Daughter of Isis.
..Her survivors include a
brother, Raymond G. Ivey of
Camden, N.J.; a stepmother,
Mrs. Fannie I. Davidson of
Charlotte; a foster daughter,
Mrs. Rosena Gaines of Char
lotte; and several nephews of
Camden, N.J. _
