Fraternity gave their annual Spring Formal last
Friday night at the Civic Center.
..The event, which gets larger each year, was
one of the best dances given by the fraternity,

birthday last Sunday afternoon. The little lad not

friends at a “MIXER” on
Saturday, March 29. at the
Excelsior Club.

of her house-guest. Eve Lynn
Rhue. 14, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. .Albert. J. Rhue of Con
way, South Carolina.
..The honoree is the niece of
the late Mrs. Evelyn H. Max
well and she and her parents
are former Charlotteans.
. .The sixteen girls, garbed in
fancy pants of their choosing,
gathered from fi-.OO to 8:30

dancing, jacks, monopoly, and
chatter.

Samesta's mother Ester Hill,
adding. "They ate mounds of
potato chips."
In the course of the even
ing's activities, the teenagers
and subteens held a dance
contest with Joyce Brayboy
and Torla Burch as judges.

Bonita Byers won First Place
and the $1.00 prize awarded by
Samesta's mother.

llonoree Eve Lynn Rhue is a

High. She loves to swim and
was a Life Guard for the city's
Park and Recreation
