Annual Spring Dance ..The 33-year-old Industria Men's Club held its 16th Bi Annual Spring Dance Iasi Saturday at Charlotte's Pari Center. ..Approximately 900 of thi 1.000 invited guests attendee the gala affair and danced t< the lively music of the B. S Plair Band from 8 until 12. .. Willie A. Walker was Maste of Ceremonies for the inter mission activities which be gan with the introduction o “Miss Industrial Men's Clul Queen - 1974-75", Rachel Har per; and “Miss Industria Men’s Club Queen - 1973-74" Barbara Armstrong. ..M. Treasurer; Clayton Pride, Sgt-at-Arms; and Edward Hogue. f ..Two of the nine club mem i bers introduced - John W. Lester and Clayton Pride - I have been in the club 33 years , and are the only original members in the present or - ganization. Mr. Lester waa crowned Man of the Year - 1974-75 and Mr. Pride was crowned Man of the Year - 1973-74. ..The club’s most recent pre vious social function was the entertaining of their wives and Miss Industrial 1974-75, Rachel Harper, at the Ply mouth Ave. home of club member Neal Alexander on January 30, 1975. . .Their next function, accord ing to spokesman John Lester, will be their annual “Miss Industrial Dance” at Metro lina Fairgrounds auditorium about the middle of July. N.C. at the Faith Temple Church of God In Christ this week. .. Bishops. Presiding Elders, Departmental Heads, Pas tors, teachers, Educational Directors, choir members, musicians, soloists and church members are meeting at the church located at 1230 Frank lin Avenue in the Furniture City. .. Many outstanding authori ties on church activities are sharing the Spring conference which includes workshops, in stitutes and seminars cover ing a wide variety of topics "pertinent to the future and expansion of the fastest grow ing church organization in America." ..The theme is “Preach the Word". .Among the highlights of the Spring Conference was "The Musical” on Monday evening when the outstanding record ing artists and amateurs part icipated in a show, show. ..On Tuesday, the Dr. A.J. Hines held a seminar which featured Dr. Bishop W. M. Johnson, the founder and pas tor of the True Vine Holiness Church of God. Inc. in Win ston-Salem, as the speaker. ..Wednesday was Women’s Day and Mrs. J. M. McCants lead the seminar which feat ured Mrs. Deola Wells John son. the daughter of the late Bishop Wyoming Wells of Greensboro as the speakers. .. Thursday was Education Day and Kelly Alexander Jr. the vice-president of youth and training for the NAACP in North Carolina will speak. The featured speaker was Mrs. Lettie Cohen of Eden, North Carolina. She is a member of the Gospel Light Holiness Church and St. Maria h Holi ness Church. ..On Friday, the featured speaker will be Bishop D. A. Burton of Philadelphia, Penn sylvania who is the General Secretary of the Church of God in Christ. ..On Saturday at 1 p.m. the sacrament of the communion and appointments by the Bis hop for the year will be held. . .The Church of God in Christ was founded in 1895 by Charles Harrison Mason.
