Friendship Baptist The Friendship Players Guild will present James Weldon Johnson's "God's Trombone" Sunday July 26, 1975 at 7:30p.m. in the church sanctuary. This production stars Percy L. Ridgeway, a guest performer as minister; Emma Nash, as prayer leader Henrietta Rhedrick as narra tor and the renown Friendship Baptist Church Choir The play will be directed by Hen rietta Rhedrick with music under the direction of Geraldo Stroud. Mrs. Paul Patterson ...Attending convention First Baptist Church The Young Adult Choir of First Baptist Church, corner of Tournament and Chestnut Street S. W., Concord, Rev. D. M. Worthy Pastor, will cele brate their Anniversary-In Concert Sunday at 6 p.m. The choir is under the dir ection of Miss Joan Hamrick. Franklin Walker is the pianist and Eugene Wright is Presi dent. The public is cordially in vited to come out and hear these young people sing to the glory of God. Walls .Mémorial Λ Μ Κ /ion The Senior and Gospel choirs will present "I Am Black Man" Sunday June 29, at Amay James Presbyterian Church at 6:30 p.m. A Missionary Mass meeting will be held on June 28 at Steele Creek A M E. Zion Church. Ml. Pisgah A.M.K. The Senior Ushers will cele brate their fourth anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Chester B. Johnston from Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church, in Hartsville. South Carolina. The music will be provided by the Dulstown Presbyterian Church Choir from Lenoir, North Carolina. The evening-long celebra tion will also include a "Gos pel in Song" program at 7 p.m. The Rev. Levi Brown Jr. in the minister of the Hickory Church. Church member Mrs. Paul (Dean) Patterson and her family will be leaving Saturday for a trip to Los Angeles, California. Mrs. Patterson will be at tending the National Educa tion Association's Convention at the Downtown Convention Center in the City of the An gels. She was elected presi dent of the Hickory Unit of the North Carolina Association of Educators in May at its annual banquet. Mrs. Patterson is a member of a number of social and civic organizations. At Mt. Pisgah, she has served as a vacation Bible school teacher, chair man of the program comm ittee of the Missionary Society, a stewardess, build ing fund secretary, secretary of the Friendly Workers Club and is presently serving as publicity chairman. She is also a member of the gospel choir, a member of the Bible Study class, assistant secre tary of the Friendly Workers Club and is a steward of the church.
