Continental Trailways Bus to
Miami, arriving approximate
ly 2 p.m. Monday. Boarding
the FLAVI^at 4:45 p.m., the
excited group sailed, arriving
in Nassau at 8 a m. Tuesday.
.There the fun, excitement,
shopping, touring and sight
seeing began. For two days
nothing but fun. The next stop
was FREEPORT-another
spot of repeated action; then
finally back to Miami to head
for Charlotte.

Venita Nita Bufford was crowned Queen of the Mount Peace
Youth Department during ceremonies at the Third Annual
Mount Peace Auxiliary Banquet at the Sheraton Center. Miss
Bufford was crowned by outgoing Queen Della Scales,
daughter of Robert and Gladys Scales. Della is a member of
Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church pastored by Rev. H S.
Diggs. This year’s Mount Peace Queen is a 15-year-old 9th
grader at Carmel Junior High School She is the daughter of
William and Minnie Bufford and the granddaughter of J.C.
and Erma Bufford. Venita is a very active member of New
Zion Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. S R Robinson. She is
a member of the Gospel Choir, 2nd Vice President of The
Youth Missionary Department, and Chairman of the Choir
Committee. Following the crowning ceremony Queen Venita
Bufford said, ”lt is indeed an honor to represent my church
and I pray that God will help me be worthy to wear the
