said, Vengeance belongeth un
to Me, I WILL RECOM
PENSE (repay), saidth the
Lord..." (Heb. 10:30).
Now what is VEN
GEANCE? Vengeance is God
punishing you for your sins
against Him. Vengeance is not
REVENGE. Revenge is spite
ful injury to another for a
possible injury for what he
may have done to you, or for
some injury you think the
other fellow has brought on
you. God hands out vengeance
justly according to your sins,
and man hands out revenge
based on the human heart
which is hatred, meanness,
ignorance, and pride!
The old men used to pray :
"Lord, it's mercy we want, for
justice is crying cut us down."
Let me explain that just a
little. It means that if God
were to give you and me
justice He yould send us to
Hell. If God shtould mark
iniquity, no man could stand
(Ps. 130:3).

the POST. Well, I'm glad for
him, maybe the Lord will get
hold of your heart. I'm pray
ing the Lord will get hold of
your heart, awaken you to the
fact you are a lost sinner,
bring you down in repentence
and give you faith to lay hold
on Christ as your Lord and
your Saviour. When someone
found out that the judge was
on my mailing list they were
surprised. I replied like this:
the judge has just as much
right to be saved as anyone
else. That's right, why should
you not want the judge to
receive the Goepel and be
saved? I praise the Lord that
salvation is not in the hands of
any man. I told the judge it
was a joy to talk with him that
day but the greatest joy was
when I came to know Jesus
Christ as my Lord and my
Saviour. My friend, if you ever
come to know Christ it will be
the greatest thing that ever
happened to you. And as Bro.,
Sheiton used to say: "You'll
never have an experience af
ter you are saved that will

Christ." That's right.
If you cannot go back to the
time you were a lost sinner
and tell what God saved you
from, and what God saved you
to then you are not saved.
When were you lost?. When did
the Holy Spirit throw back the
cover of your heart and let you
see you were a totally deprav
ed, wrecked and ruined sinner
in your filthy rags on the road
to Hell? How about it my
friends? Do you know Christ?
Is He real to you? He is to me.
I praise the Lord for His
superintendence and every
care over me. You may lift
your hand against me but my
Lord will meet out vengeance
to you. You may wage a
slander campaign against me
to wreck me. that Lord will
to wreck me. the Lord will see

Let me make this state
ment : every soul who has ever
risen up against the truth and
against God's anointed has
always gone down. The Lord
said in I Chron. 16:22 and in |
Ps. 105:15 saying: "Touch not
Mine anointed, and do myi
prophets no harm."
If you do seek to do me harm
the Lord's Word to me is: "I
will repay." Therefore I know
that the Lord will meet you in
judgement for whatever you
do to me. It's grace to know
that. 1 was talking about how
good it is that we can trust the
Lord and rest everything and
every enemy with the Lord. I
don't have to fear what some
man may want to do to me. I
belong to Christ and nothing
you want to do to me shall
prosper. Here is the promise
of my Lord to me: "No wea
pon that is formed against
thee shall prosper; And every
tongue that shall rise against
thee in judgement thou shalt
condemn: This is the heritage
of the servants of the Lord,
and their righteousness is of
Me, said the Lord" (Isa.
54:17). Praise the Lord. I don't
have to fear what any man
shall plot against me. Nothing
you do to cast me down shall
stand. The Lord ' holds the
king's heart in His hands.
Listen, did you get those
Words "thou shalt condemn?"

You say you thought you
weren't supposed to judge.
Who told you that? The Lord
said thou (meaning His ser
vants) shalt judge. Where? At
the Great White Throne
Judgment, according to Rev.
20:11,12. As the servant of the
Lord I'll have to take the stand
there and witness against
every soul I knew here in life
who refused to repent and
believe the Gospel. I am going
to have to witness against the
high and low. Men who held
high office right here, I'll have
to step forward when the
question is asked: "Does any
one know this man here?"
"Yes, Lord I knew him, we
worked together, he spurned
the Gospel, trampled the blood
under his unhallowed feet"
(Heb. 10).

rich and poor, small and
great. No matter what your
standing may have been on
earth. Vou may have held a
high office, you may boast
that you have the authority to
say to men: go here, or go
there, do this and do that, but
all that will mean nothing to
you than when you are brought
in to be tried for all your sins

1. Notice is hereby given
that a public hearing will be
held by the City of Charlotte in
the second floor Council
Chamber of Charlotte City
Hall, 600 East Trade Street,
Charlotte, at 7:00 P.M. on
December 22, 1976, for the
purpose of considering a pro
ject for which financial assis
tance is being sought from the
Urban Mass Transportation
Administration, pursuant to
the Urban Mass Transporta
tion Act of 1964, as amended, I
generally described as fol-1
lows:
A. IJESCKIPTION OF
PROJECT:
(1) Seek operating assis
tance funds under section 5 of
the Urban Mass Transporta
tion Act of 1964, as amended
November 25, 1974.
Operating assistance is
sought for the purpose of
aiding the City of Charlotte in
the preservation and continu
ation of the existing public
transportation system by im
provement, and expansion of
the system through the expen
diture of "local share" money
and Federal grant funds.
(2) The public transporta
tion system is managed by the
Charlotte City Coach Lines,
Incorporated with offices,
maintenance, servicing and
storage facilities located at
707 North Brevard Street,
Charlotte, North Carolina.
(3) The total estimated cost
of operations for FY 1977 is
$1,438,414. The source of local
share money will be the City of
Charlotte General Fund.
B. RELOCATION:
No persons, families, or
business will be displaced by
this project.
C. ENVIRONMENT:
The proposed project will
have no significant environ
mental impact upon the Char
lotte urbanized area in FY
1977.
D. COMPREHENSIVE
- PLANNING:
This project is in confor
mance with comprehensive
land use and transportation
planning in this area. Com
ments favorable to and in
concurrence with this project
have been made by the Char
lotte-Mecklenburg County
Planning Commission, the
Metropolitan Planning Or
ganization for the Charlotte
Urbanized Area.
