Many events haw taken place or will take place during the week Christmas, the time of rejoicing has been emphasiz ' ed through worship services, banquets, parties, etc. Now what shall be done on Christ mas Day, the dathat is most important, the day we have ^n*Bet aside to worship God, to ' praise God, and to glorify His Holy name? Many will busy themselves • preparing dinner, opening brightly colored packages, and distributing gifts to friends and relatives. There is * a lot more to it than that. Members and friends of the ' - Shiloh Institutional Baptist ; Church will busy themselves preparing their hearts and their minds^ for their noon :—worhsip -service that ts to occur on Christmas Day, De cember 25th in the church oaiiwiual > . All choirs of the church will join in one multitude of sing ers that will be addressed as "A Christmas Drama In Song." Professor W.G. Lino * will serve as organist and director of the joint choir. King. Mrs. Joyce Stukes, program chairman of the Sunday School Department, directed the play. Ms. Peggy Wood, Mrs. Doreatha Wall, Pheodus Robinson, and Ms. Ann Guth rie served as soloist for the musical portions of the dra ma. The play, through drama, depicted four tvries of families and defined what place Christ mas held in the lives of each of them. Near the close, Rev. H.S. Diggs, minister of the Church, proposed a Drama Guild de velopment in the near future for Mayfield. SHILOH INSTITUTIONAL The Ushers Organization of the Shiloh Institutional Baptist Church held a Christmas ban quet on Saturday evening, December 18, 1976. The banquet was sponsored by the president of the Ushers, Mr. Richard Rice. Dr. and Mrs. J.A. White were honored guests of the 7:30 p.m. occa Ms Queen Estell Thompson . Ardent church leader sion. PAUL "The Promise of God Ful filled," a pageant written and directed by Annie Rosa Poole, will be presented at St. Paul Baptist Church, Sunday, De cember 26, at 6:30 p.m. Guest soloists are Miss Ca rolyn Drummond and Mrs. Delores Miller. Other participants in the program include organist I van Davis and Dastnr Paul Drummond. The program fea tures the Spiritual Choir of the Church. NEW EMMANUEL Evangelist Eva Jones will present a pageant at New Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church Sunday, De cember 26, at 5:30 p.m. Following the pageant, "Je sus' Birthday" will be cele brated, said a statement from the church. Rev. A.M. Massey will speak. The celebration features the sffering of "a huge cake." said the statement. It "will be blessed consecrated," then ;aten by those who attend this service.
