Shiloh Institutional Baptist Church To Worship At Noon On Christmas Ha

The chosen day that we
celebrate the birth of^lesus
Christ is steadily advancing.
Many events haw taken place
or will take place during the
week Christmas, the time of
rejoicing has been emphasiz
' ed through worship services,
banquets, parties, etc. Now
what shall be done on Christ
mas Day, the dathat is most
important, the day we have
^n*Bet aside to worship God, to
' praise God, and to glorify His
Holy name?
Many will busy themselves
• preparing dinner, opening
brightly colored packages,
and distributing gifts to
friends and relatives. There is
* a lot more to it than that.

director of the joint choir. Also
serving on the program will be

and Mrs. Novella Townsend as
soloist. A sermonette will be
: delivered by Dr. J.A. White,

musical portions of the dra
ma.
The play, through drama,
depicted four tvries of families
and defined what place Christ
mas held in the lives of each of
them.
Near the close, Rev. H.S.
Diggs, minister of the Church,
proposed a Drama Guild de
velopment in the near future
for Mayfield.

The Ushers Organization of
the Shiloh Institutional Baptist
Church held a Christmas ban
quet on Saturday evening,
December 18, 1976.
The banquet was sponsored
by the president of the Ushers,
Mr. Richard Rice. Dr. and
Mrs. J.A. White were honored

will be presented at St. Paul
Baptist Church, Sunday, De

present a pageant at New
Emmanuel Congregational
Christian Church Sunday, De
cember 26, at 5:30 p.m.
Following the pageant, "Je
sus' Birthday" will be cele
brated, said a statement from
the church. Rev. A.M. Massey
will speak.
The celebration features the
sffering of "a huge cake."
