: Saddest Day In All Thp WnrM” Part 5 - The Great Separation And 1 saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away , and there was found no place for them And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were writ ten in the books, according to their works (Rev 20:11, 12). We're continuing our studies on the subject. The Saddest Day In All The World under the theme. The Great Separa tion. Here in this life the saved • and lost are all lumped toge ther, saved men live with unsaved wives, saved women live with unsaved husbands, saved parents live with un saved children, saved children live unsaved parents, a saved preacher preaches to a lost congregation, saved office workers work along side un saved office workers, and on down the line we could go _ naming them all. But my • friends, there is coming a Great Separation. It will be a final separation. It will be an eternal separation. God's do ing the separating now and He will do it then. When you accuse me of doing the sepa rating you are only showing your spiritual ignorance. wnen me judgment is set, 1 the great white throne judg ment of Rev. 20:11,12, this will bring about the great and final separation. Every soul from Adam on down to the last human being bom on the face of this earth will be present. My friend you will be there. Let me ask you a question; how will you appear there? To be judged or to judge? Paul said the saints shall judge the world in 1 Cor. 6:2. You didn't know that did you? You may _ask how will the saints judge the world? The prophet Isaiah said we (saints) are God's witnesses. How will I and will be called upon to testify as to what we know about you. God is going to ask you dear soul what you did with His word, what you did with that message He sent you through His servants. I'll have to take the stand and testify that you counted His word and His message as nothing. All your rebellion, you’ll have to an swer for it, there will be no . way. of escaping facing your -guilt.—My friend, you—had better listen, I’m talking about J. M. Little eternal realities you will 01.0 day face. When this judgment is set, time will be no more. Time is just a wedge driven into eter nity. At this judgment the redeemed, those who were bom again, washed in the blood of the Lamb here in time will be on the Lord’s side that awful day. Oh the awfulness and dread of that day, but you’ll face the wrath of the Lamb, the Great Judge, the Lord Jesus Christ then my friend. The God you thought you knew as a lowly nazarene will blaze upon your soul as a God of great wrath and flam ing fire to take vengeance upon all those who hate Him. Sinner, you don’t believe you hate God do you? No you don’t. If you did you’d be crying for mercy. You don’t see your need of the Saviour’s mercy now. You have got more important things to be taken up with. Your TV shows and your ball games-are more important than the mercy of _ God bestowed on your lost soul, you think. If you were wanting Christ as much as you want the ball game you’d be saved. Right now you are here in time, you have space to repent and cry for mercy. Yet you refuse and despise the good ness of God. Friends so-called are more important to you than the Love of Christ. You had rather have the praises of men than the praises of God. You deceive yourself in think ing you have a desire to he saved. You don’t know that your old wicked heart is de ceitful. Your heart has you deceived sinner! May God . awaken you- out of your le thargy. My friend you can laugh at these truths we are laying down if you want to, I’ll tell you this, every truth you turn down, that message you re belled against, it’ll torment you through out this life and follow you and torment you in hell, and then when you come to the Great Judgment, that message will face and torment you there. A sinner here rose up in rebellion, if God doesn’t grant them repentence here in time she’ll see it all at the judgment. You won’t boast at the judgment, you’ll see just what a fool you were. You were a fool for spurning God's message. You won’t fly in the face of the Righteous Judge there sinner. I’m talking to you! You’ll see there just what a -little poor blind ignorant dupe of Satan you were. What a tragedy! In time God sent His message to_you, you scof fed at it, called it trashTCalled God’s servants a bunch of fools. I don’t mind being a fool for Christ. You were a fool for the devil. The door is soon to be shut on a Christ rejecting world. My friend you had better beg the Lord to bring you under Holy Spirit convic tion now before it’s too late. I’m pleading for your soul. My friend you will live in eternity forever. But you will be in the ' presence of the One you never loved or desired, what tor— ment! Think seriously, turn to Christ. In that day, you'd give ten thousand worlds to know Christ and be in Him, it’ll be too late then dear soul. I’m not an enemy of your soul. If I were I wouldn't be pleading for ~7mr Ttie worid doesn’t care whether you die and go to hell or not. You are going to have to face Christ here in mercy or there in judgment. My friends, this separation really is the great separation. I’ve tried to talk to sinners about Christ who will no doubt never be saved? I’m coming to some tender*-things. I'm through heipg_easy on sinners like I have been in some cases in the past. When you be easy on a rebel they always turn against the truth. There are too many already making souls happy on the road to hell. My friend, I don’t want your blood to be on my hands. There is a time for God's servant to use the rod and a time to be gentle. As I look around me and seg| so many of you who are Gk unconcerned my heart blee&lH Then I look out into etemSjJ and see what you my belovaysT will face there.I This Is The Law Right To Counsel By Robert E. Lee Sponsored by The Lawyers of North Carolina A poor or indigent defendant charged with a serious crimi nal offense is intitled to repre sentation of counsel at his trial. It is the duty of the judge presiding at the trial to ap point competent counsel to represent him. The defendant does not have the right to have the attorney of his choice to represent him. A mere disagreement be tween an indigent defendant and his court-appointed coun sel as to the conduct of the trial is not sufficient to require . the court to replace the court appointed counsel with ano ther attorney. __ The indigent defendant may waive his right to counsel. The court will not force counsel upon a defendant in a criminal action, and the United States Constitution does not deny to a defendant the right to conduct his own defense. However, in the few instances where this has been done, the results have usually been unsatisfac tory to the defendant. Check the ads in the Char lotte Post each week for the best bargains in town. Glaucoma Is Least Understood Eye Disease By Kaleigh W. Bynum O.D. M.P.H., F.A.A.O. Glaucoma is probably the best known and least under stood eye disease in existence. Thanks to a very effective television campaign and more effective detection techniques, it is quite evident to the general public that glaucoma is a common eye disease and is potentially blinding. Good sight is dependent up on an adequate supply of oxygen and this oxygen is brought into the eye by the blood supply. If the pressure inside the eye is too great, the blood cannot enter thus caus ing oxygen starvation and subsequent blindness. This pressure inside the eye is due to the fluid that is produced in the eye. If the fluid drains out as it should, the pressure is ~ maintainedaT A Safe level but' if for some reason the drain age should be blocked, the pressure becomes abnormally high Therefore, glaucoma is ba sically an abnormally high internal pressure due to a blockage of the fluid draining from the eye. The onset of glaucoma is _ much like the onset oi a dental problem. It is a very gradual increase in presence, taking months to build to the point that it causes difficulty with sight. And, like the dental problem, by the time pain results, it is too late to return things to their normal condi tion. Some of the early signs of the disease are foggy vision, colored halos around light bulbs and increased difficulty reading. This may or may not be accompanied by pain in and around the eyes. These signs are not always constant. They may occur in the form of acute attacks in which the signs are the same but much more severe. People suffering these attacks some times attribute them to mi graine headaches, which of eeune they are not. This most important fact about glaucoma is that it can be controlled if detected early enough. The damage already done cannot be repaired but further damage can be pre vented. Many cases of early glaucoma have been detected on regular examinations and these people were able to retain their 20-20 sight. : m. — _ ::"^-i— fe wmmmmmm ES MEMORRJM wmm FUNERALSERVICES For MR.
