The program is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Mrs. King has won acclaim' as a vocalist in both this country and abroad. High lighting her first tour outside the United States in 1973 were a concert in London at West minister Abbey and six per formances for the Armed For ces of the Seventh Army sta tioned in West Germany. That same summer she was the guest soloist at the World Council of Churches in Gene va, Switzerland. Since 1975, Mrs: King- has—made- -four— additional European tours and is scheduled to return in Jan uary of 1978 for a fourth tour of the United States Army in-- stallations in West Germany. She has appeatod at a number of art centers, colleges and universi ties, and churches, and has been a featured soloist at national conventions of vari- our organizations. Whenever and whereever Juliet King gives a performance, her warm and radiant persmiali- ty, her spontaneous enthusi asm, and her beautiful voice completely captivate her au dience. For her achievements as a mother and in the musical world, the Mother’s Associa tion of the University of Illi nois awarded Jiliet King its 1976 Medallion of Honor. The first recipient of this award made in 1968 was Helen Ha yes, the famous actress.
