WSOC To Air Story Of Princess Grace "The Story of Princess Grace...Once Upon a Time Is Now" will be presented on Channel Nine's "The Big E vent" Sunday, May 22 at 9:30 p.m. Lee Grant is host. The special features film celebrities in personal remini scences and-· rare glim pee of Princess Grace in special se quences with her family, in cluding Princess Caroline, filmed in Monaco, Paris and taatafc— ____ The program includes on camera interviews with film stars William Holden, James Stewart, Alec Guinness and Raymond Maaaey. Cary Grant narrates a sequence. There are also oo-camera interviews with noted film personalities who were asso ciated with Princess Grace during her movie career, in cluding director Alfred Hitch cock, producer-director Stan ley Kramer, noted designer Edith Head and director Geo rge Sea ton. Unique footage of Princess Grace filmed for the program shows her with her husband. Prince Rainier, and their — Princess Caroline. Princess Caroline, in what 5~ believed to be the first film footage of her in an earnest conversation with her mother, is seen with Princess Grace in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. Other on-location scenes were taken in the royal palace in Monaco and in the Monaco Legation in London. In presenting an original view of Princess Grace from film princess to royal prin cess, the program will include footage of her early days as a model in New York, as she appeared in television com merciala and kinescope scen es of her as a performer in live TV dramas. ι Film highlight» of her not able career in Hollywood will' include scenes from "The Country Girl" with William Holden, for which she won an Oscar as Best Actress.
