Three Colorful Performances Championship Rodeo Finals Coming To Charlotte Coliseum The Southern Championship Rodeo Finals are coming to the Charlotte Coliseum for three colorful performances, October 28-29-30. You will enjoy specialty acts by some of the best talents on the rodeo circuit. Cowboys and Cowgirls will be compet ing in these exciting events; Bareback Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Saddle Bronc Rid ing, Calf Roping, Cowgirl Bar rell Racing, Team Roping, Bull Riding and Cowgirls Goat tying - plus A ‘wild’ Bull Chariot Race. Only the top 10 competitors in the Southern Rodeo Associ ation are eligible to compete in this rodeo of Rodeos. Cow boys and Cowgirls compete throughout the year in order to qualify for the “Finals.” Two of the Nation’s top bullfighting clowns will be selected by the top ten bull riders for their ability to move-in and save the cowboy who may get in trouble when bucked off or when the ride is completed in the bull riding contest. Their antics are also a touch of comedy throughout the rodeo performance. Over $10,000 in prize m oney plus trophy saddles, silver buckles and coveted cham pionships points will be at stake during the three days of competition. The rugged contest events are spiced with colorful fea ture performers, clowns, spe cial music and spotlighted production numbers. Performances are sychroni zed to run approximately 2'/z hours including a 15 minute intermission. Ticket Prices: $5.50, $4.50, $3.50 (Kids 12 & under $1.00 ofT). Fat Albert and his pals learn that lesson, among others, as they plot their “creepiest, baddest scariest” spook night ever, on “The Fat Albert Halloween Special,” starring Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, in an animated half-hour program celebrating the holi day of ghosts and goblins on Monday, October 31 at 8 p.m. on WBTV, Channel 3, Devery and Rudy are the ringleaders of the Cosby Kids, including Mushmouth, Dumb Donald, Weird Harold and Fat Albert, and they try to lure the group on a grand adventure to scare all the “weird" elderly people in their neighborhood. First they try their tricks on .cranky Searchlight Johnson, who works in the movie house, and then they turn their ta lents on Mudfoot, and old man who turns their trick back on them.
