i -Charlotte native Michael Davis Is Junior Vice Polemarch d __*• _ -—*^m»**», a iiauvc of Charlotte, will serve as Junior Vice Polemarch (high- • est undergraduate regional office) of the Middle-Eastern Province for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. A member of the Alpha Nu Chapter, Davis has served as Historian, reporter, and on the Board of Directors. He also was a “Kappa Man of the Year.” Active in Student Govern — meat at North Carolina A & T, Davis has served twice as Attorney General and has received the “Most Outstand ing Student Government Offi cer,” twice. He has served the university as Chairman of the Black History Month Committee, Student Committee to the UNC-Board of Governors, Parlimentarian of the Uni versity Council, chairman of the Student Legal Council, and a member of the University Tribunal this year. Davis was also the winner of the Student Government Debate: “Merge the Black Institutions?”, which was aired on a local Greensboro television station. He founded the State Student Attorney General's Conference which was held at “A. & T last November. Michael graduated from West Charlotte and is a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Wliuu FUflT^JllD Holds “Flower — Show And Tea” By Debra Stanley Post Staff Writer Annual Flower Show and Tea The members of the Druid Hill Garden and Flower Club greeted friends and relatives in a beautiful setting of home grown flower arrangements at their Annual Flower Show and -Te*:-—-— This lovely affair was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Ellis, 933 Druid Circle, on June 18. Each member had an arrangement on display. Summer flowers of every vari ety were on hand, and Mrs. Wiley had such perfect snap draggons that the members kidded her about the possiblity of a visit to the florist shop. Mrs. Wiley gave all the credit to her husband, Zellie, for the beautiful flowers around her place. All of the members had a very successful year with their flowers. Refreshments were served during the evening affair. Members who were on hand to greet their friends were: Mr. and Mrs. James Ellis, Mr. and Mrs. McGill, Mr, and Mrs. George Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Fancy English, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Conner, Mrs. Sophease Blackmon, Mrs. Roberta Lyles, Mrs. Eva J. Wiley, and Mrs. Edna Gaston. These members are very pleased with their end of the year project.
