Clark Mary Elizabeth Foxx and Napoleon Keith Clark were married Saturday, July U at Friendship Baptist Church at 3 p.m. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. james F. Foxx Sr. of 1937 Crestdale Dr. She is a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Soro rity, and is employed by the Union County School system. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. Joseph Clark of Rich Square, N.C. and Mrs. Ruby Clark of Newark, N.J. He is a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University and is employed by Charlotte Moi'klunburg School system and United Parcel Service. The bride was given in C'est La Vie Club Gathers For Outing Members of the C'est La Vie Social Club gathered for an outing recently at Morrow Mountain State Park. The outing was held for husbands and guests. Members who went were Barbara Jean McCoy, Mary McDonald, Delores Atkinson, Martha Parks, and May Neely. They and their husbands and friends enjoyed a steak cook-out and lots of fun. Members also shared their time to gather for a dinner which was held at the Nakato Restaurant. The occasion was a different experience for some members —"H fry all. Both the rtinij^r nnH were held as part of the Club's Do Things Together Project. Members who went to the dinner were Shirley Fitch, Annie Mae Harris, Barbara Jean McCoy, May Neely, Mary McDonald, Martha Parks, and Delores Atkinson. .Subscribe To The Poet marriage by her father, Mr. James F. Foxx Sr. Pastor Coleman W. Kerry performed the ceremony. Gerado Stroud was the organist, and Ms. LaFleur Paysour was the soloist. The bride wore an organza gown with attached chapel train. Exquisite lace was embroidered on the long slim sleeves, V-yoke bodice, and full skirt, which was worn with a matching veil. Miss Laura Foxx, the bride's sister, was the Maid of Honor. She wore a pink chiffon gown. The matron of Honor was n>e bridesmaids wore light pink gowns with chiffon cap lets. They also wore pink hats that matched the dresses. Bridesmaids were Ms. Veronica Clark of Newark, N.J., Ms. Connie Ligon of Charlotte, Ms. Gladys Kelly of Society Hill, S.C., Ms. Treva Pettis of Charlotte, and Ms. Sandra May of Charlotte. Miss Ann-Cberi Foxx, the bride's neice, was the flower girl. She wore a long pink chiffon dress. Ricky Hunt, the bride's nep hew. was the ring bearer. Fred Brown, of Newark, New Jersey, was the best man. Ushers were James Foxx Jr., Steve Culmer of Phila delphia, Blaine Newberry of Philadelphia, Lloyd Gibson of Philadelphia, Angelo Clark of Newark, New Jersey, G ret Fant of Newark, New Jersey, and Gary Harvest of Orange, New Jersey.
