Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the conference will get underway by 9:30 a.m. Delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the NAACP’s new programs from national leaders headed by Kenyon C. Burke, Assoc iate Director for NAACP pro grams Burke was formerly the Di rector of Community Affairs for Planned Parenthood in New York. He received a B.A. in Physchology from Bowling Greene State in Ohio, and an M.A. in Vocational Counseling from Columbia University, and is presently a candidate for a Ph.D. in Education at Rutgers University. Morris, director of Housing, New York, and Julius E. Williams, the Director of Armed Servic es and Veterans Affairs, New York. Voting will be an area of emphasis at the convention. W. C. Patton and Joseph E. Madison will discuss the Black vote in a time of civil rights crisis. Patton has served as a former branch president of the Alabama State Conference for ten years, and Executive Secretary of the Alabama State Conference. He is cur rently the National Associate Director of Voter Education for the NAACP. Joseph E. Madison is the Assistant Voter Education Director. He is the former Executive Secretary of the Detroit, Michigan branch-the largest in_the nation.
