And God s prophecv. given to Noah, was fulfilled just as God said it would be Now you modernists, atheists, skeptics, and unbelievers can disbelieve the destruction of the earth all you want to. it's so whether you believe it or not Many years ago when 1 was growing up as a boy in the religious world, one of my friend boys and 1 were in his home talking about some things from the Bible, and I quoted these words; "with God all things are possible." He replied; “if you believe that, then all things are pos sible." Let me say this very frankly; the Bible is the Word of God. and it doesn't need the puny depraved consent of any human dog to be true! God's Word is so even if you don’t believe it. Believe it and be saved, disbelieve it and go to Hell God destroyed the world over five thousand years ago with water. When He destroys the world the second time it will be with fire. Now you listen to the Word of God if you __ can. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and god liness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dis solved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (II Pet. 3:10-12) Yes. God is going to destroy this earth by fire one day. As I look around the world and see how everything is corrupt, and the world is filled with violence as it was in the days of Noah, I don't believe the coming of the Lord is far off. There is fire reserved in the heavens and in the earth that is going to be used to burn this earth up. You don’t believe that do you? No, you don't, if you did you wouldn't be cut ting the fool like you are doing. The elements, your pre scious stones of gold, silver, iron ore etc. shall melt with fervent heat Peter says. Where will you be then my Heart Association Provides Facts On Heart Attack Do you know wnat a ueart attack is? A stroke? Could you recognize the warning signs and know what to do if you or someone near you were having a heart attack or a stroke? The answers to these ques tions are given in a booklet which is available without charge from the American Heart Association, Charlotte Mecklenburg Chapter, 1351 East Morehead Street, Charlotte, 28204 Ask for ' Fact Sheet on Heart Attack, Stroke, and Risk Factors." Please include a stamped, self addressed long envelope. The booklet also states that there are several ways to improve your chances of avoiding a heart attack or a stroke It advises having your blood pressure checked at least once a year, because high blood pressure is a major risk factor in heart attack and is the m'tfjor risk factor in stroke With your doctor's help, you can lower your blood pressure to safe limits Regular medical checkups are advisable to spot trouble early in al! areas of health. Additional advice given in the booklet is to eat a w«u balanced diet low in choleste rol and animal fats and to limit calories if overweight; don't smoke cigarettes, because smoking increases the risk of heart attack, and to exercise regularly and sensibly. I DIG THE POST! YOU WIIT TOO! READ IT EACH WEEK!! J. M. Little v_a_ ■ . M . . .. >v«n« . uuoi aa pwi IUOI MniU were destroyed by the water the first time, poor lost souls will be destroyed by fire the second time. You may come back and say you don’t believe God would rain down fire and destroy a human being. You had better read the account in Gen. 19 and weep. If you don’t believe Gen. 19 you don’t believe John 3:16. There is no such thing as believing one part of the Word and disbeliev ing another. If you call God a liar in one place, you call Him a liar in it all. Now you put that down. Water and fire are two of the strongest forces in nature. Everything that modern man has ever made will be burned up. Your great cathedrals, the great cities, bridges, all will burn to ashes. This destruc tion will be complete! The fires will bum every Christ- | rejector, who spurned the warning messages God is warning you through these iu luiii iu viuiai before it is too late. The blessed Holy Spirit is now calling out God's elect, convicting them ot their sin nature and drawing them to Christ by the Gospel and revealing Christ to their hearts. Are you being called out and brought to Christ? If not then you can rest assured that God’s judgment is going to fall upon you! All ungodly men living on the earth at the time of this destruction shall be burned in this fire. Now some free-wilier will jump up and cry out that I skipped over verso 9 in this third chapter of II Pet. Did I? Alright, let’s read the ninth verse; “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” Slow throwing Flants Best For Foundation Most homeowners select and plant many shrubs and trees during their tenure at a particular home site, but those plants selected (or the founda tion are probably the most popular. They are nearly always the first chosen, since they often are included in the agreement with the home builder as part of his building contract or planted soon after moving in. Mistakes with foundation shrubs are many. For ex ample, often a builder or a homeowner will attempt to cut costs by selecting plants that are least expensive. In doing so, you may end up with shrubs unsuited to the site because of their potential to grow Into over-sized plants. North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service specialists suggest that the wise home owner will select shrub6 that, by nature, are low growing, and slow growing. Among the most popular of the low-growing evergreens are the Japanese hollies. They grow from one to four feet high. Hellers and Stokes Japanese hollies are particu larly popular with owners of low ranch-style homes. They grow low to the ground, mak ing a handsome mound of greenery. Another low growing shrub is dwarf yaupon, which is dften^rnstakeiWor Japanese holly. Dwarf Japan ese hollies and dwarf yaupon often are substituted for dwarf boxwood because they are easier to grow and have fewer insect and disease problems. Cetoneaster, is another good evergreen shrub for founda - tion plantings. It has a grace ful habit of growth, cascading to the ground. Established plants often bear red berries. For more information on selection foundation plants, contact your county N.C Agri cultural Extension Service office. Firewood If you’re bringing firewood into your home, don’t bring uninvited guests with it. If you’re not careful, you can bring insect pests into your home on firewood, say NCSU agricultural extension specialists. For example, ants may be under the bark of wood and become active when the wood is placed in a warm area. Cockroaches may also enter your home on damp or partial ly decayed wood. Always inspect firewood carefully and remove any insects before moving the wood indoors, recommend the ^jgeciajiste. ",CheclMheT3^!m!mwrloiie,“ Post each week for the best bargains in town. Many ol you misunderstand the true meaning of this Scrip ture which the Apostle Peter pemied just before the verse telling of the great destruction of the world by f; ?. This ninth verse does not iply to the whole world, no s but to the elect onlv How d> ve know? Notice the Apostle said; "but is longsuffering to US-W'ARD, not willing that any should perish.” US-WARD, is the key word there, and means the elect. Not one elect will perish, only the non-elect will perish. Under GRACE! God is not willing that any shall perish, under JUDGMENT! He that sits in the heavens shall laugh, the Lord shall have them (the non-elect) in derision. Now, all I am doing by the grace of God is rightly dividing the truth. God help you and me in such a critical hour. II_ t_. . wvvwccii ^UU dUU the lx)rd friend? Are you saved? Do you know the Lord-’ I am mindful that the great multitudes of you are laughing and making fun of these messages from week to week and you are saying that Bro. Little is crazy. Well, my friend, you may go on in your fun making, and scoffing, 1 weep for you. The day of your doom is not far off. When God's judgment falls on you, you will wish you had listened but it will be too late. And also I know that but for the grace of God that would be J.M. Little. The only reason 1 am warning you is because of the grace of God. One day God called me, set off the warning in my heart, I saw my destruc tion if I remained out of Christ. Night and dav I begged the Lord to take me in. And much to my surprise He saved this poor sinner and I’ll never get away from it. I may not know very much, but I thank the Lord for redeeming me. Let me say this in passing, every soul who lifts his voice and hand against God, His Word, or His messenger will go down in destruction. YOU. ARE HEADED FOR DE STRUCTION Judas, Pharaoh! There is a Judas and Pharanh in the life of every servant of the Lord. I wouldn't be in vour places for ten thousand worlds of gold and silver. I I plead with every sinner to turn to Christ. Soon the door of mercy will be shut. Will the closed door find you on the outside? If you don’t flee to Christ it will. Does It Help To Detect Cancer Early? The earlier cancer is detect ed and diagnosed, the better the prospects that treatment Will be effective. More people die of cancer which could have been cured or prevented than of cancer for which a cure has yet to be found. Most cancers originate on the surface of a tissue. After a while, the cancer cells will begin to penetrate beyond the surface and invade the underlying issues. If untreated, cancer will eventually enter the most dangerous phase. In the later stage the cancer cells spread to other organs of the body. Treatment then becomes difficult. Early detection is thus one of the keys to successful can er treatment I* ATTENTION YOUNG | READERS!! | PASS THE N.C. CXIMPETENCY TEST j !
