Prophet*8 Column “An Open Letter” “AN OPEN LETTER" by J. M. Little Mydeerfrien*. In the life of God's servant, ooe of the saddest farts he has to face is the rebellion of one who be thought was a brother or sister in Christ. For nearly three years now since we have been publishing the Gospel through this medium, all I have bean doing is telling how God saved this hell-deserving sinner. And In so doing, I have drawn the line of DEMARCA TION clearly so that you could know whether you are saved simple testimony from these feeble clay lips that the Lord has been using has re vealed many a false professor of a religious profession with out Christ. The Lord would not have you or me believe a false profession. All I can do Is tall and set forth what I know experimentally, as the Named Holy Spirit taught me, before He revealed Christ to my heart under Holy Spirit Conviction (Jn. 18:7-11), and since He revealed Christ to my heart, as my Lord and Saviour (Matt. 16:17). You have often known me to say that you cannot listen to God’s man and the devil’s man, too. That simply means that you cannot believe both are servants of the Lord when only ooe Is. Many things the Lord reveals to His servant the servant may only just ponder in his heart. I have noticed over the years here that some who claimed to be saved always talked on the holiness side, never tellii« bow they were awakened to their lost condition under the revealing and convicting power of the Holy Spirit. I also noted, too, that some would strongly defend a certain false prophet. And as I continued to .speak out of the abundance of what the Lord taught me, continuously the will of that individual was being crossed, and one day that soul heard something I said and turned critically and said, “You are not to judge, you are judging! The Lord is going to do the >>dging! ” That critical state ment stunned me, but the rebellion had to come out, the Lord brought it out. Let me say with all the tenderness of my heart, no ■oul can have their heart opened by the Holy Spirit and no their lost condition, and hen critically and bitterly tccuse God’s servant of judg ing. Once you are truly awa kened to your lost condition, you know God's servant is declaring the truth! It never crosses your mind to lash out to him as judging. When I open my mouth and speak out of the abundance of what the Lord has taught me, the soul on a prof nasi on of rsUgioB R*v. J. A. Cats ep Tale The original catsup was flnt made In Asia and used as a sauce for fish, say specialists with the North Carolina Agri cultural Extension Service. Although first concocted from secret household recipes, it soon spread in popularity to India and England In the 1700’s, tomato seeds were brought to settlers in North America from Spain and Cuba, and catsup as we Poet V «r 11—11Qetoei ... J. M. Little without Christ does not see or understand what I'm tsiHng about; therefore all he know* to do is to accuse me of Judging. There are certain things all believer* know and understand, but when you take the position that God's servant is Judging you are telling me that you have never been taught of the Lord (Isa. 34: IS).' As I said, some are always talking on the holinees side, leaving out Holy Spirit Convic tion. I'll also say further; any soul, now you get it, any soul who cannot bold up under my testimony is not saved. If you can rebel against the truth as it is in Christ, as 1 have evidently set forth for nearly three years through this medium, you are not saved! I will not compromise with you. As someone rightly stated, "You are only telling the truth, you are not Judging." One soul wrote me a letter accusing me straight up and straight down of Judging. And then turned around and said that she and I believed the same thing. What a tragedy I The Apostle Peter said; “Make your calling and elec tion sure.” If you cannot hold up under my testimony, you are not saved. Right there you will accuse me of judging. Well, there are many wolves in sheep clothing. But listen, you cannot fool God’s servant about your salvation. When the Lord won’t let me settle down on a soul I know some thing is wrong. There is no wey under the sun you can have Christ revealed to your heart and take the position that God's servant is judging. When I was under convic tion for salvation, it never occurred to me to accuse God’s servants of judging. I knew they were telling the truth! But I noticed along a period of time the soul would make statements that were not coming from having been taught of the Lord. There are Just certain things that all believers understand. My messages are as diffe rent from a false prophet as night and day. You cannot uphold my message and that of a false prophet too. But the Lord reveals all false profes sors in time or eternity. My friends, how Is it between you and the Lord? Do you know Christ? If you do, you are not going around accusing me of. Judging. As the days come and go, I'm seeing many of the things my late pastor told us years ago. One thing in particular; “The greatest enemy of the Gospel is a soul on a religious profession with out Christ.” And get this; "The Lord's children follow Him, and the devil’s children follow him." It's just that simple, you have to and will follow your master. I praise the Lord for saving a sinner like me, and all I can do is tell you what the Lord has taught me. If you rise against the message, you are in rebellion against God. When you accuse me of judg ing, you are rebelling against the truth but you don’t know it. Twenty years ago I didn’t know these truths I am setting forth. You simply don’t be lieve me, and are calling me a liar by accusing me of judg ing. God help you because 1 cannot. Awakened sinner, don’t tarry, flee to Christ. Let nothing or no one hinder you from coming to Christ. Never will I forget the time tbaXord dealt with my heart in love and mercy, showing me my lost condition and the judgment I was under until He brought me to Christ. I praise the Lord for it. Only a few souls believe the Word of God. You can disagree with my personality, but you cannot disagree with the truth I am setting forth, the message is from the Lord, not me. USDA Sets New Eligibility Guidelines For Food Program Special to the Post WASHINGTON-A 10.2 per cent increase in the guidelines used to determine children’s eligibility for free and reduced price meals and free milk, was announced today by As sistant Secretary of Agricul ture Carol Tucker Foreman. The new guidelines will apply to schools and child care institutions participating in the school lunch, school break fast, child care food program and the special milk program. “Each year we adjust the Income eligibility guidelines to reflect changes in the cost of living," Foreman said. The new income guidelines, effec tive July I, 1979, to June 30, 1980, reflect the change be tween the 1978 average of the Consumer Price Index and the index of March, 1979. States are required by U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations to set eligibility for free meals and milk at 125 percent of the income guide lines, and for reduced price meals, at 195 percent. Thus, under the new guidelines, a family of four can earn up to <8,940 and maintain eligibility for free meals and milk. Reduced price meals will be provided to children in a family of four earning <13,940 or less. Previously, the guide lines were set at <6,490 for free meals and milk, and <12,660 for reduced price meals. In applying the new guide lines, schools and institutions may consider both the Income of the family during the pr evious 12 months and the family's current rate of in come, to determine which is the better indicator of a child's need. Children whose parents become unemployed will be eligible during the period of unemployment, if the loss of Income places the family with in the eligibility limits. Peters Heads In New Direction v~uuuiiueu irum rage o. him about a news producer’s job. “I went up to talk with them,” Peters said, “but we were more than 15,000 apart on salary, and so things just sort of broke down. They wanted to'give me all this responsibility for producing the 6 p.m. and the 11 p.m. news, but for very little more money than 1 was already making.” Several weeks later, on a day Peters des cribes as “the worst in my career,” he came home, announced to his family that he was a failure, and read a WLOS letter asking if he was interested in a job as news director for the station. "1 jumped straight up in the air. No one had asked me to be a news director before, and 1 was delighted that this man was considering me,” Peters said. “I called him, we set an appointment, and about two weeks after the interview I got the job.” Peters said he took the news director’s slot at ^bout $1,000 less than he had wanted as news producer, but in his worlds, "It was a new ballgame." But after about 15 months in Asheville, Peters said he was ready to come back home to Charlotte, tired of the cold weather, and thought the WRET opportu nity was too good to pass up So now he's moving on again. "I’ve got some irons in the fire, and several of them are very hot," he said. “But all I’ll say is I’m not going to let my wife and children miss a meal." Stephen Blakeney Enlists In US.
