Chabaku has traveled extensively through England, Scotland and Switzerland both on drama tuition and study tours for services available for wayward youths, experi mental theatres and for religious drama. She also travelled to many South African countries such as Kenya, Swaziland and Zimbabwe to conduct work shops on human-relations and attend religious conferences on non-denominational levels. FIRST MAYFIELD Cou|( it be a miracle or just the faith of less than 100 members of the First May Tieldr Memorial Baptist Church? Whatever, the mem berg’ dreams have mate rialized and their new church building is complete. For four years members of First Mayfield Memorial Baptist Church held pro grams, sold candy and donated money from their own pockets in order to build a new church building. Mayfield members worked 1 together and after a lot of hare work, determination, and most of all faith, the church moved into a brand new building on 1900 Oaklawn Ave. The congregation started out with only 54 members. Rev. Jeremiah Robimoc ...First Mayfield pastor They held their meetings in Oaklawn School and soon the membership began to grow. Today the membership totals about 94 and is steadily growing. In July of 1977, Rev. Jeremiah Robinson became Mayfield’s pastor. Even though his main concern was saving souls, one of his other concerns was building a new structure for the growing con gregation. Church members moved into the new site October 14. L»eaication services will begin Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Griffin from Galilee Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. , Dedication services will continue Monday. Nov.5 ' trough Friday, Nov. 9 with different guest pastors speaking each night at 7:30 p.m. ine last Dedication Service will be held Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. with guest speaker Rev.
