And now in the midst of his sizzling career his “JUST FOR YOU” debut album is just what the title song denotes: “Cissilin’ Hot.” Cissel was not only cast on and off Broadway in plays like “Don’t Bother Me I Can’t Cope”, “Lost In The Stars”, and “A Chorus Line," he also danced and sung his way into commercials for 7-up, Dr. Pepper, Doublemint and Carefree gum and Coca-Cola All of this talent has been bottled up inside of him from the day he was born. It was evident from one of his first ma jor performances as a teen-ager. So convincing that an Oklahoma oil baron watching his performance in the Tulsa Little Theatre's production of South Pacific, offered to finance his entire college education. As Cissel looks back he said: “...it seems incredible, and makes me think that someone really is watching over me.” So off to the University of Okla homa he went. His major was dance and drama. In 1970 he won the best actor award and the best supporting actor award-the first time ever a student had won both awards in the same year After college he studied with the Joffrey Ballet for six months. He then auditioned and made a chorus slot in the Sondheim musical, but was cut from the cast after pro duction of “A Chorus Line”. But this little exposure led to a role in the Broadwajrproduction of “A Chorus Line”. From then Cissel displayed his talents, in a string of Broadway productions. And after a while, he said "...they started calling me. I didn’t have to audition any more.” While performing on Broadway he was also doing commercials Then one day on the set of a Coke commercial, Cissel and his man ager met Larking Arnold, Senior Vice President of Arista Records. From that meeting came a con tract with Arista, The first album for Cissel entitled “Just For You" is on its way with a "Cisselin’ Hot" start.
