Caro winds Accepting Job Applications CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Carowinds theme park is now accepting ap plications for seasonal employees for the 1980 operating season. “We have approximately 1,500 positions available in all phases of park operation," statedCarowinds Finance and Personnel Director Steve Proffitt. “This includes work in rides, merchandise, food ser vice, general services and secur ity,” Proffitt said that persons inter ested in applying for spring week ends, summer weekends or dialy work should come by the employ ment office at Carowinds between the hours of lfr a.m. and 6 p m., Monday - Saturday. Applications must be made in person at Carowinds; no appoint ments are needed. Applications - will not be mailed out . All applicants must be 16 years old, have a Social Security card and be able to provide their own housing and transportation. Fifteen-year-olds can apply now if they turn 16 before they plan to start working. CPCC Artist Series Sets Concert On February 15, the CPCC Artist Series, sponsored by the Student Activities Association and the Per forming Arts Department, will present its second concert, featur ing Jeffrey Irgens, pianist, and Diane Irgens soprano.
