Prophet's Column "‘Without Natural Affection” dv jim uiue "This know also, that in the LAST DAYS perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves (selfish), covetous, boasters, proud, blasphe mers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, un holy, WITHOUT NATUR AL AFFECTION...” (II Tim. 3:1-3) We are living now in the LAST DAYS just before the • >ming of the Lord. And as ior me, I long for my Lord to come. I'm tired of all this mess down here. The • ■postle Paul laid down here, under the inspiration 'f the Holy Spirit, the exact characteristics of the times in which you and I are living. We don’t have to get into the last days; we are already in them! And these are perilous or dangerous times as Paul Dointed nnf I want to especially call your attention to “WITH OUT NATURAL AFFECT ION.’’ All men by nature tire born with certain na tural characteristics, the fivesensesfor example. All of us are affected by things tind individuals around us as well as events. When an individual is without na tural affection, he is with out the simplest of feelings for the other individual. I<et’s take a very simple illustration to show some thing; if you saw a person with their finger stuck in a window and they couldn't lift the window off it with their other hand you’d rush over to try to free him. Now that is just simple, natural affection. You feel after the other person. Let’s take another illustration; you may leave your town and go into another town, even in another state, you see someone on the street and bow your head speaking to them or you may wave to them, even though you don’t know them. Now that is with just simple, natural affection. But you know that day is gone. Every where you turn men and women are without natural affection in all matters. In all my years on this earth I have never seen the hatred I am seeing now. Men and women hate everybody that they come in contact with. You hate everything of the truth, whether it is a spiritual truth or just a simple truth in nature. You hate every good way. Why? God, the Holy Spirit, is withdrawing UlC e_ . a . j-• uuiii uus • earth and God is giving this generation over to a repro bate mind (Rom. 1:28) Now if you want another clear picture of this present God-hating generation in which you and I are living, . read the remainder of the j first chapter of Romans. . Paul knew exactly what he was talking about. Everywhere we turn to day men blaspheme the name of the Lord. But let me tell you something, friend; there is coming a day, not too distant in the future when you are going to have to answer for all your hard sentences, whe ther directly against the believer or against God. You go off behind closed doors plotting against God's people. God sees you. Every evil thought you had against God's people, you will give account of it. When I behold the enemies of the Gospel, I thank the Lord He didn’t appoint me Reference: New Terminal Facility Douglas Municipal Airport Charlotte. N.C. That's right. But for the electing grace of God I would be an enemy of the Gospel just like you. But for the grace of God, I would be without natural affection and living in hatred just like you. The end of the road you are on is Hell and the Lake of Fire. Ten thousand years from today you’ll be burn ing in the flame. And I know that but for the dis tinguishing grace of my heavenly Father that would be me. I look at men in my daily life who are filled with hatred for every thing from the Lord and I know that I would be right where they are if the Lord hadn’t made the differ ence. A man at work set out to slander me and to “get me real good.” Well, he succeeded in slandering me. And every soul who went along with him will be in the same Hell he will be in. When you take sides with the slanderer against God’s people that is the concrete evidence you are not saved. That man acknowledged to someone that the only time he has any peace is when he is sleep. Well, he is settling down for a long sleep but when he wakes up he’ll wake ud in Hoi It The mystery of salvation is that God would single me out and save such a sinner as I. He passed others by, leaving them in their sins but yet gave me the Effect ual Call, stopping the chariot of grace at my heart’s door to bring me to Christ. I don’t understand it, but I praise the Lord for it. And to think that the Holy Spirit was so merciful to me, convicting me of my lost condition, showing me that I was Hell deserving and had no claim on Christ, but yet, Christ died for me. It was a great day in my life when the Lord gave me that call that turned me about face, and set me to hungering after Christ. Oh, the grace that drew me to him. Do you know Christ? Do you want to know Him? I don’t see how you can live I without Christ. You, who are not saved, when you die you will leave everything behind that you ever loved. You have no hope for eternity. This world - in it the comforts you have now - are all you will ever have. That is right, my friends. Most of you who read these messages have already been added to the number who shall spend eternity in Hell. The multitudes never repented and got saved under the preachng of my Lord. The same can be said of the divines of old; 'Paul, John, Silas, Spurgeon, Newton, Pink, Cowper, and the divines of our day - the multitudes never repented and got saved. It was al ways a few who received the Effectual Call and came to know Christ. What will be said of you? Will you be in the multitude that will never be saved? A born again believer is easily entreated. As an unsaved heart you are without natural affection and are filled with hatred. Some feel they cannot live without hating others. Even if that person you hate is unsaved, you are far more miserable than the object of your hatred. A believer will not fight an other believer. But if you do hate and fight a be liever, it can be said of you as it was said of Judas Read The Charlotte Post Each Week We are looking for a Genera] Sales Manager to run the sales depart ments of highly-rated, highly-successful AM and FM combination in a major Southeast mar ket. Iscariot; “it were better for that man that he had never been bom.’’ The Lord said that offences must come (Lk. 17), “But woe unto him, through whom they come!” If you offend the belief just the least, this applies to you. He went on to say, “It were better for him that a mill stone were hanged about his neck, and be CAST INTO THE SEA, than that he should offend one of these little ones." Friend, I would not be in your place for ten thousand worlds. I know the vast majority of you that read these messages think I’m crazy. But you’ll eve have to give account at the Great White Throne Judgment (Rev. 20) for even thinking that. At that day, oh, what a weeping will go up from your heart!
