Prophet's Column “No Fear Of God” me natural neari nas no fear of God. This grows out of a heart of unbelief Since you do not believe and do not know the God of the Bible you have no fear of Him That is a great tra gedy because the soul who is in such a state is under the judgment of a sin avenging God and could drop into Hell any second The Bible is very clear and plain and every soul is w ithout excuse. Christ said to a group in Lk 18; "...There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, nether regarded man; "What a tragical con dition of that heart! The judge didn't fear God and" he didn't regard man On the other hand, the soul who fears God is careful about sinning against God. But, if a man doesn’t fear God, he'll have no regard for man. Isn't that what we are witnessing all around us today: Everywhere you turn you come face to face with hearts who care nothing for the Lord God of Heaven. When a man has no fear of God, he will openly blaspheme the holy Name of God. Seldom do you hear the Name of God used except in profanity and vulgarity. You drag the Name of my heavenly Father in the muck and mire because there is no fear of God before your eyes. Friend, God will not hold the soul guiltless who takes his Name in vain. When a man has no fear of God in his heart, he not only profanes the Lord, he profanes the Lord's people. When a man lies to God, he’ll lie to and on the Lord’s people. Remember dear soul; every word and deed of yours is being recorded "But I (Christ) say unto you. inai every mie word that men shall speak, THEY SHALL GIVE AC COUNT THEREOF IN THE DAY OF JUDGE MENT. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matt. 12:36 37) Every idle word you speak against the Lord and His anointed will be re viewed at the Great White Throne Judgment and you will acknowledge it all. Your own words shall con demn you. Everytime you counted the Gospel as trash shall be brought to your memory. Everything you do and think is being re corded. At the Judgement your memory will tally with the books of God kept on you. You’ll face it all. "For there is nothin hid, which shall not be mani fested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.” (Mark 4:22) The time you slipped out with the other man’s wife, it’ll blaze be fore you in boxcar letters. God’s eyes are upon you. You may try to resolve the Judgement and Hell with you atheism, but that’ll not keep you from the appoint ment God has made for you. You hear the Word of God; “And as it is appoint ed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Heb. 9:27) God has made this appointment for you and the all powerful God of the Universe shall see to it that you keep your appoint ment. You are just a worm in God's sight. And you will keep your appointment with death and judgment You won’t be late. You may be late for an appointment here on earth at your own choosing But you’ll not be _!_*>«* meeting Orwt’a annpint THIS IS YOUR PAPER USE IT 1 you re Missing me Very Best In Community News If You Are Not A Regular Subscriber To The Poet Subecnoe Now! CALL ^ 376-04'*» J.M. Little ment. Your entire life here on earth will be accounted for, you can’t live it over for a second chance after you die. The thing for you to do is take your place before God as a guilty sinner and beg the Lord to grant you repentence and faith to lay hold of Christ, who alone can be your salvation. Men in the relf-^ gion world, as well as the secular world, live as though they will not have to face their appointment with death and judgment But face it you will. How will you fare? Are you ready to meet Christ? I was talking to an old school teacher just yesterday, 1 told her I was glad the Lord brought me to a knowledge of Himself. When 1 was a boy in school I didn’t know the Lord. But I'm glad the Lord awakened me, convicted me (Jn. 16:7 11) and revealed Christ to my heart as my Lord and my Saviour. How is it between you and the Lord? Do you know Christ? And I know that the greatest thing in all this world is just to know Christ as my Lord and my Saviour. If you go through this life and fail to come to know Christ as your Lord and your Sav iour, it can be said of you as it was said of Judas; “It were better for that man that he had never been boro.” Is that going to be you? A great man died r here just recently. They made much ado about him, but he died just as he lived; full of hatred. He found out in death something he would never admit in life; by nature all men are just alike^it’s only the grace o God that makes the dif ference Several years ago, one morning here at the General Mail facility, a man and I were eating breakfast. I made this statement to him; “there is only one difference in my nature and that of a drunk ard in the gutter." The man looked up at me in silent surprise. And I further stated; "the only differ ence in my nature and that of a drunkard in the gutter is the grace-of-God. '^-By nature I’m not different than anyone else. But for the grace of God I’d be hardhearted and without compassion just like many here in authority. A man without compassion is a man who knows not the Lord. You don’t know the Lord, but you’d give ten thousand worlds just to know Christ. You’d give ten thousand worlds just to be awakened to your lost con dition seeing your need of Christ. But a soul who fears not God knows nothing about his lost condition. You said you read the Bible and the Book of Revelation, but there is no fear of God before your eyes and you hate God’s servants and made tun ot the Gospel. The very Gospel you make fun of is the only ope that can save poor lost sinners. 1 was talking to someone one day about a certain man here, I asked the question; is there any hope for him? He's hardhearted and has no fear of God before his eyes. Well, 1 don't know. If you had asked the Christians about Saul of Tarsus that morn ing w hen he left for Damas cus, every Christian would have lifted his eyes and asked; “Saul of Tarsus, that villian who had been persecuting Christians? why, there's no hope for him. 1 know that there are no hard cases with God. And if the Lord ever opens your heart here in this lifetime, YOU will want me to tell you about Christ. It’s Christ you need It’s grace when God takes a rebel lious heart, one who hates every inch of the ground I walk on. plants the Word of Truth in this heart, the Holy Spirit waters that Word and brings it forth as a new being in Christ. I told that old school teacher yes terday about two hearts, a woman, twenty years ago when I was in school, and a man today who hates everv inch of the ground I walk on. Now, you cannot get saved hating me. The best thing you can do is cry for mercy. Maybe God’ll grant one of those souls repent fencer 1—don't- know. It means something to be saved. This generation as a whole has no fear of God. That’s true of the ministry, too. I wish to make o statement that I know is going to make multitudes made at me; ‘‘I’m con vinced without a shadow of doubt that practically one hundred person of our church members today are lost,, including preachers.” now that won’t sit well with you, but I make no apology for it! Ask your pastor to tell you how God saved him. Ask him if he knows the Lord. He’ll be embarr assed. God’s people fear Him and are not backward in talking about the Lord Jesus Christ.
