Prophet's ('olunin Work! By Wfedcwm Knew Not God B> J M. Little "For aiier mat in the w isdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolish ness ot preaching to save them that believe." (I Cor 1-1 > The Apostle Paul very clearly is setting forth in this Scripture that you cannot know God by world ly wisdom, that is, your intellectual or educational ability I'm glad you cannot know God by the w isdom of this world. If you could know Him by your w isdom, you would always be bloat ed with pride; by my edu cation. by my scientific knwoledge. 1 found the Lord And you'd be the proudest peacock or pea hen that ever walked on the Salvation does not come by any human merits at all, no' Salvation comes as a gift from God. Christ is always REVEALED to the heart of a sinner. The only w ay you can know Christ as your Lord and your Saviour is that He be revealed to your heart. The Lord was talking to a group of His disciples one day and asked them this pointed question; " Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” And they (the disciples) said. Some say that thou art John the Baptist: Some, Elias; and others, Jere mias, or one of the pro phets.” He saithunto them, BL'T WHOM SAY YE THAT 1 AM? And Simon Peter answered and said. Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him. Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is is Heaven." (Matt. 16:13-17). There you have it, the only way you can know Christ is for the Father to reveal Him to your heart. And if the Father never reveals Christ to your heart, you’ll die and bust Hell wide open. You are coming to Christ God’s way or you are going to Hell. It has been said to me many times; everybody has their own beliefs. That’s why you are not saved. You are going to give up your beliefs and opinions before you are ever saved. Most of you read these messages from J.M. I.ittle ”vvn iv " i icx v v ex II CdU > been added to the number that will spend eternity in Hell. Listen again to my Lord in Luke 10:22; “All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man know eth who the Son is. but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son WILL REVEAL HIM.” What could be any plainer? The world, religious as well as secular, thinks that it can solve any problem through education You have had almost six thou sand years to improve the world, and solve your pro blems through education. And only a blind fool would not agree that the world is in a worse shape to day than years ago. We live in a world of violence and bloodshed. More churches are Deing Duilt, more people are attaining de grees than ever before. Master's degrees, are as common as high school diplomas. But no matter how enlightened man thinks he is, he is sinking deeper and deeper in pro blems and does not know the way out. The only way out is Christ! But you will not have Him. Your cry is; "we ll not have this Man to rule over us!” It is by the foolishness of preaching that sinners are saved. Preaching the Gos pel is not foolishness, but you regard it as foolish ness. What you call crazy and foolishness would save you, but your are smarter than God you think. And as long as you go on in that realm you will never be saved. Before any sinner is saved, he has to be brought under Holy Spirit Convic tion (Jn. 16:7-11) where you are stripped, or as we have said ‘ unlearned.” You have got to forget every thing you ever learned and learn from Christ. I realize it is taught all over the world today that man is an evolutionist. Man did not evolute in the Garden of Eden, man "de-evoluted” in the Garden of Eden. You may not find that “de-evoluted” in your dictionary, but Mr. Shakespeare coined new words, so can we Man fell in the Garden, surrender ing allegiance to Satan. That is why you are a sinner by nature, you are a fallen child of Satan. Under uur cuimuiing power oi me Holy Spirit you learn that very well. Holy Spirit Con viction is God teaching the sttmerall about himseli in order tjiat he may see his sinful and depraved na ture, that there is no hope in man, or man’s self help, so-called, that you, as the sinner, may see your need of a Substitute. And that Substitute is the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ and Chrust alone is my salvation. Is He yours? If He is, why can’t I find fellowship with you in Christ? Why is it you run away and refuse to talk to me about Christ? Listen to the apostle again; “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto Him: neither can he know them, BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUAL LY DISCERNED.” (I Cor. 2:14) The holy Spirit is the Author of the Word of God, the reason you do not understand the Word of God is because you are not saved. The key to under standing the Word of God is the NEW' BIRTH The na tural man, not being born again has no capacity to understand the Word of God. That is why a preach er said that the anti-christ was to going to protect the saints during the Tribula tion Period. Oh, the blind ness of the religious world! The natural man cannot understand the things of the Spirit of God because the natural man is simply a house of flesh, and that is all you will ever be-unless the Holy Spirit gives you the New Birth If He doesn't give you the New Birth, then your final abode will be Hell and the Lake of Fire. I am very much aware that these simple messages from week to week are giving many re ligionists here unshirted Hell. They ought to, you are hiding under a religious covering and the messages are exposing your hide. I praise the Lord for it. You’ll come clean and come clear with God or go to Hell! '-'in lai 19 my wiMJUIU, righteousness, sanctifica tion, and redemption. I can glory only in Christ Whom are your glorying in? All believers speak the same language, blood redemp tion in Christ. Listen again; “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might knuw the'things that are freely given to us of God. Which thinks also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spi ritual things with spiritual. (I Cor. 2:12-13). What I have set forth in these messages is what the Holy Spirit has taught me, you rise up in rebellion and disagreement because you are not taught of the Holy Spirit. UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT WESTERN DISTRICT OF NORTH CAROLINA CHARLOTTE DIVISION ERNEST H. MACKEY and JIMMY HOARD, Plaintiffs, VS JOHN STETSON and WILLIAM E. INGRAM, Defendants. Notice Of Proposed Class Action Settlement Against North Carolina Air National Guard This notice is being given as part of a proposed settlement of a class action lawsuit alleging racial discrimination against the North Carolina Air National Guard. Neither the plaintiffs nor the defendants have finally agreed to any settlement of this case. Further, any ultimate settlement would have to be approved by the Court, and this has not yet occurred. This action was initiated on May 10, 1977 by plaintiffs Ernest H. __ Mackey and Jimmy Hoard. Plaintiffs alleged that the North Carolina Air National Guard had discriminated against them and other black persons in aenyihg tftttA ' employment opportunities as technicians because of their race. The Court certified this proceeding as a class action on July 13, 1978 and defined the class as consisting of the following persons: 1. All black employees who are or have been or may be employed by the North Carolina Air National Guard at its Charlotte, North Carolina, facility since March 24, 1972; 2. All black persons who have sought or applied for employment with the North Carolina Air National Guard at its Charlotte, North Carolina, facility since March 24, 1972; 3. All other black persons who have been or will be otherwise adversely affected by any alleged dis criminatory employment practices or acts of the North Carolina Air National Guard at its Charlotte, North Carolina, facility since March 24, 1972. This Notice is being published in order to advise potential class members of their rights under the proposed settlement and to notify them of the further steps that THEY MUST TAKE if they desire to assert any claim individually on their own behalf. The Court has not made any judgment as to wither any particular individual has or has not *9ben discriminated against. That decision will be made only after all parties have had the opportunity to present in Court whatever evidence each party desires to present. Plaintiffs have asserted that the North Carolina Air National Guard has discriminated against black persons in the following ways: 1. By the use of vague standards in making promotion and employment decisions which allow an all white supervisory staff to make discriminatory decisions; 2. By not adequately publicizing the availability of job positions as technicians; 3. By limiting the opportunity to seek technician positions to persons who are already technicians; 4. By applying different standards to black and white applicants for job vacancies. These claims are listed merely to inform class members of the general types of claims which plaintiff are making. If you are a class member, you can raise any claim in this proceeding which is related to discrimination on account of race in piumotion, hire or assignment in the technician pr^ram.
