Meet Pearlie Moore, R.T. She’s
a Radiologic Technologist Super
visor in the Emergency Room.
Her adventure began in 1962
when she enrolled in the Charlotte
Memorial Hospital Radiologic
Technology Program. Since her
graduation in 1964, she’s been
meeting the challenges of her ca
reer and growing with her field and
the hospital.
“I would say, yes, come in to it. I
have really enjoyed working as a
Rad. Tech, because you get to
deal with people... I love dealing
with people.”
Human interaction. The chal
lenge of learning a field where you
receive as much as you give.
“There’s a lot more involved
than you would think . .. most
people don’t know about X-Ray or
Nuclear Medicine or Radiation
Therapy or Ultrasound... we get
to go to all areas of the hospital
and deal with people of all ages,
including children.”
Pearlie Moore’s adventure has
meant a lot to her.
“I think that maybe there are
people out there that don’t know
that Memorial is offering educa
tional programs . . . well, the
Radiologic Technology program
has been a fulfilling one for me.”
Memorial not only offers adven
tures in Radiologic Technology,
but Medical Technology, Nurse
Anesthesia and Hospital Admin
istration.
