Romaine Worth Opens Second Beauty Parlor Romaine Worth has opened her second beauty parlor and has named it Sunshine Beauty Salon. The grand opening was held March 8. This new salon is located at 2523 North Graham-SW Rev. Paul Drummond accompanied by his wife, and daughter, performed the opening ceremony, gave the scripture and prayer, and cut the ribbon. ‘‘The theme," according to Mrs. Worth, "was God Supplies All Your Needs. " A selection was per formed by Naomi Worthy. Guest speaker was the Cos motologist instructor at West Charlotte Senior High, Lilliesteen Harris. Mrs. Harris remarked that Mrs. Worth’s success was no surprise to her for she knew Mrs. Worth pos sessed great potential. Mrs. Worth now owns two beauty parlors - Romaine’s Beauty Rama, located at 1404 Beatties Ford Rd., which opened September 27, 1971 and now Sunshine Beauty Salon. Sunshine's grand open ing also featured brief re marks from Qarolyn Smith, assistant manager of Beauty Rama and Chris tine^Oiisholm^^ssistan^ manager of Sunshine Beauty Salon. Staff members were also recognized by Mrs. Worth. Eliza Steel, manager of Beauty Rama; opera tors Phyllis Sanders, Delores Hintfln, Vivian Aerv Pa. tricia Hill; apprentice workers- Cheryl McClin ton, Wonda Boyce, Loretta Williams and Cyndi Terry. Remarks were also given by Mrs Worth’s husband, Earl Worth. “The ship is sailing, climb aboard, reach out and touch some body's hand, let’s make this world a better place," he announced. Worth also recognized their two daughters, Princess and LaRita and Mrs. Worth’s brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Dooley. Lorena Simpson, aunt of Mrs. Worth was also pre sent and spoke in behalf of Mrs. Worth’s mothers, Kathryn Dooley and other family members who are proud of Mrs. Worth’s ac complishments. But Mrs. Worth confess es that none of this would have been possible without the help of God. “Through out the ceremony L gave God all my praises,” Mrs. Worth revealed.
