Mr. and Mrs. William Fairley ...She was Miss Belinda King Miss Belinda King Is Bride Of Fairley Belinda King and Wil liam Fairley exchanged wedding vows Saturday in a ceremony officiated by Rev. J. C. Robinson at Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Matthews. Given in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow King of 1B20 Wil more Drive in Charlotte. Parents of the bride groom are Mr. and Mrs. Willie Fairley of Raleigh. Attired in a long white gown with lace veil, the bride carried a bouquet of while carnations mixed with daisies. Matron of Honor, Saun dra Stewart, wore a scarlet pink gown accompanied by a pink cape. Bridesmaids Teresa McDowell, Pamela Black, Kulh Worthy, and Khonda Beasley chose pink gowns with burgundy and grey capes. Bennett King served as the Best Man. Ushers were Maurice Fairley, Barry King, Basil King and Dou glas Dunn Regina King was the flower girl and Randy King was the ring bearer. The bride is a graduate of Olympic High School. In July, the couple will move to Germany while Fairley completes his Army tour of duty. Then the couple plan a return to Charlotte. Admission is free to this variety program. Youngsters from ages three to lf> have been practicing and spending a great amount of time to make this event entertaining and amusing. Modeling, dancing, and singing will bo presented at its finest by 30 to 40 dedicated young ladies and gentlemen. Sponsored by the Essence Social Club, an H member organization chartered seven years ago, the Fourth Annual Kiddie Show will also include a Baby Contest. Over the years the pro gram has continued to grow, and is held consecu tively at llie beginning of May. The Doll Show’s founder, Jeanette S. Robinson, ex pressed that her wishes and prayers extend to the continued success of the event. "I hope that it will continue to grow as it has each year. In 1979 there were 21 contestants and in 1981 we had 83." The many participants worked hard in order to make the show as attrac tive as it was. Many re ceived awards and gifts for the amount of money re ported and in various other categories. The Queen was Monica Miller. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Ronald Miller. She and her family were recognized for their tremendous contribution Timeka McKoy was the second place winner. Amenda Moore came in third while Kimberly Lips comb placed fourth. Tori Reid came in the fifth position. Many others were also recognized for their works and were presented gifts for their efforts. The Echoes, organized in Februar^J^^^ervic^or^ organization. The meeting will provide an opportunity for women interested in starting or re entering a career to meet other women in various career areas, learn more about these careers, and determine how to meet requirements for employ-— ment. There will be informal discussion for the first hour and a half and at 7 p.m. County Commissioner and local attorney Marilyn Bis sell will speak on Sexual Harassment on the Job.
