Janice Ann Harry and Dexter Lamarr Feely were married recently at May field Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Harold S. Diggs officiated the double ring ceremony and the grandfather of the bride. Rev. Zertie Johnson pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Townville, S.C., conducted the wedding prayer. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Freddie . Harry of Charlotte. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Lee Feely of Charlotte are the parents of the groom. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an imported ivory silk satin wedding gown which fea tured a Queen Anne neck line, bracelet sleeves and a basque bodice with a pep lum in the back. I The bodice was covered —with ecru Alencon lace and seed pearls that extended to the peplum. There were motifs of the same exqui site design on the sleeve and forming a triangle on the front of the skirt, cre ating a border which ex tended into a cathedral length train. Her cathedral-length veil was edged in ecru Alencon •lace and was attached to a lace covered Juliet cap enhanced with silk flowers. She wore a strand of pearls and carried an ivory pray er book adorned with a white orchid. Mrs. Blossom Cooper, sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Joyce Robinson, cousin of the bride from Belton, S.C., was maid of honor. Both matron and maid of honor wore lavender gowns with full circular skirts, spa ghetti straps and sheer bolero type jackets edged with ecru lace of orchid. Richard Perry Joins Air Force Richard E. Perry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Perry, of 3016 DePaul Court, has enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Airman Perry, a 1981 graduate of West Charlotte High School, joined the Air Force under the Air Force's Delayed Enlist ment Program. He will .enter active duty on Sep tember 21, 1981. Sergeant Steve G. Dagenhart, Air Force re cruiter in Charlotte, stated ^at Airman Perry suc cessfully completed a series of tests which quali fies him for the electronic's aptitude field of training. They were attired in peach gowns with bolero jackets and each carried fans adorned with lavender and peach silk flowers. Flower girls were Vashita Laslay Harry, niece of the bride and Shante McCullough. Errol Feely, brother of the groom, served as best man. Stanley Harry, brother of the bride was head usher. Other grooms men were Michael Cald well, Larry Calloway, Her man Cooper, brother-in law of the groom, Cecil Cureton, Suliman El-Amin, cousin of the bride, Cedric Feely, Patrick Feely, bro thers of the groom, Michael Johnson, Melvin Reid and Harry Scott. I ' - The ring bearer was David Corwell, and An thony Feely and Travis Feely served as pages, all nephews of the groom. A program of nuptial music was provided by Gwendolyn Turner, organ ist, and Michael Washing ton, soloist. The bride's mother wore a frost rose dress with a circular skirt accented by a peplum and a fingertip length lace jacket with a soft ruffle at the neck. This was complemented with matching accessories and a rose clustered bouquet in her hair. The groom's mother chose a sky bly knit dress with an attached walking length chiffon caplet. The bride's grand mother, Mrs. Lucille John son. of Belton, S.C.. chose a baby blue dress with matching accessories Mrs. Amy Crosby, aunt of the bride, selected a mint green gown with a lace bodice complemented with a lace bodice en hanced by a full length lace . r coat with a Mandarin style neck. The bride is a graduate of Belton Honea Path High School in Belton, S.C.. and attended Central Piedmont Community College She is employed at American Efrid Textiles The groom graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and has plans of attending CPCC. He is employed at Carmel Asso ciates A reception was held fol lowing the ceremony in the church fellow'ship hall. A dance was performed by Pamela Brooks of Stanley. N.C., accompanied by Michael Washington piano Hostesses were Miss Linda Blakeney, Mrs Mabel Chapman. Miss Sa brina Cunningham. Mrs —Katie Davis, Mrs_fanh Leake, Mrs. Cynthia Harry.
